Throwback: Cooling Day @ Genting Highlands

Went up the hill again during one of my 'clear leave' days (in December)
It was a cooling & foggy Friday noon...as seen in this picture took around 12pm
feels like in some sort of 4-seasons country
While everyone was still in the Christmassy mood back then, i saw the CNY bazaar entrance, which was guarded by a staff who wore a thick 'winter' jacket. Went in to look-see. It was newly set up on that day but already crowded with 'kiasu' shoppers who want to grab the first-hand CNY goodies.
Plenty of abalones, bird nests, chicken essence, cookies, snacks on sale...
The entire atmosphere felt like......CNY!
Meanwhile in the SkyAvenue mall, it was back to the Christmassy mood.
There were musical performances, and people flocking the concourse area to take pictures
The decoration for this year looks like hanging onions
since it was a cooling day, i got hungry pretty fast and had my lunch early.
Started with a warm pumpkin soup
 yummeehhh
 pork rib rice
 my colorful fusion set meal
i also tried a few spoonful of the seafood in Cantonese style gravy rice.
Later in the evening, I had Chocolate fudge cake for tea time before heading home. It was a birthday gift for members!
