Had family dinner in Restaurant 88 to sort of celebrate the New Year. It is an established 'dai chow' restaurant which has been around for years.
We ordered 4 dishes:
'Pai Kuat Wong' aka pork rib king (RM24)
stir fried green amaranth with goji berries (RM15) - it has great 'wok-hei'
deep fried tofu with minced pork toppings (RM18)
steamed tilapia in taucu (fermented yellow soybeans) sauce - topped with lards (RM42)
Total price with rice (5 pax) and tea is RM110.50
It was OK, though we felt thirsty after the meal...
Service was quick. The place is not stuffy as it is located on a hill and has outdoor dining ('dai pai dong' style)

My kind of dishes! Ya lah, some at some restaurants I also experience thirst after the meal. To much msg.
I spot two of my favourite dishes - Pai Kut Wong and tofu with minced pork toppings. My family would also order these two if we dine in "dai chow" restaurant. RM110 seems pretty affordable cause normally for us in KK, will cost almost RM150 for 4 dishes and rice.
looks tasty but thirsty after this meal should be due to too much msg in the food so i will pass.
Located on a hill so can enjoy the scenery while feasting on the food.
