N.u.d.L.E.s 2

After featuring my first debut of Pan Mee series, here is another flavor that I tried from the same stall.
It was Saturday morning, a perfect day to stroll morning market…
Hence, i went to this very same stall that I had my last nudle meal, and dare myself to order…

seafood tomyam!

No regret with my decision cuz it came with generous servings of prawns & fishballs, plus the tomyam soup wasn’t spicy at all…yummylicious!
Prawns, fishballs, crabsticks, fu-pei (fried beancurd skin)...luv 'em so much!
Oh prawns! drool…

Ambank lousy services 2

Ambank = Money Sucking Bank
this caption says it all

Well, I m to continue with my saga, cuz I really got pissed off with their services that I feel like complaining to the consumer rights.
Just when I m expecting them to release my JPJ vehicle registration card after completed settling my loan, I was being bombarded with another surprising fact – That I have to go to the HQ personally to collect it, else I gotta pay additional RM30 for them to courier that card to this branch office.

RM30 to courier just a card???

Isn’t this supposed to be covered as part of their services? The transfer is to be done internally within branch and I wonder what’s the hassle and logic of charging customer for an easy task.
They've already imposed a double-digit service charges into the loan payment bill and surprisingly the service doesn’t cover this.

I wonder why they kept the cards over at HQ instead of branch office? And when the owner entitled to have it back, Ambank sort of penalize the customer for the extra ‘effort’ of transferring it.
Well, the transfer should be FOC, at least I knw that Maybank doesn’t charge customer for this kinda service.
Ambank the leader in financing services money sucking services!
Is this how they do their biz? Scaring customer away by imposing unnecessary charges?

I seriously don’t recommend people to this bank.

May Feast 2

As usual, no birthday celebration is complete without a family dinner. Last Sunday, we had ours at a nearby Chinese restaurant.
Upon entering the building, we were greeted with another entrance.

Read the signboard warning from bottom to top,
No outside foods allowed.
No pets allowed.
No footwear allowed.
No attires allowed.

They expect the visitors to go in naked ;-)

Ok, that is my general interpretation. If you interpret them specifically,
It may goes like this:

No burgers and drinks allowed. --> ok, I will bring in a durian....
No dogs allowed. --> all other animals are permitted ;-)
No slippers allowed.
No short pants allowed.
No t-shirts allowed.

btw, this not the entrance to our dining place, the restaurant is located at first floor.
Anyway, nice flower pot they have!

After placing our order, we were being served Chinese tea Baked nuts and chinese herbal soup It took us some time to wait for the dishes to arrive Halfway eaten

A nearer snapshot, sizzling pan beancurd, on top left is pork rib in dark bbq sauce Steamed fish with spicy sauceVegetarian dish

We left the place happily after this sumptuous meal. See that happy face?

btw, tis soh-poh isn’t me ;-)

May Feast

Besides December, May is also one of our feasting months in conjunction with Mother’s day and mum’s birthday.
Sis gave a surprise with this homemade durian cake that she ordered from a church fren.
Dun be fooled by its plain appearance, u can smell its ‘fragrant’ even with the box being sealed and wrapped with multiple layer of plastic.
The taste was mediocre, and the texture was abit spongy, hence we hav no problem in finishing the cake.
Halfway into it.

Mum still preferred to have cheesey durian slice that I bought a few days earlier from Secret Recipe. Okie dokie, we’ll get her a better cake next year.

AmBank lousy services

I wonder what is wrong with AmBank staffs these days?
Their frontline services hav changed tremendously…
Not a good change but a NEGATIVE one with RUDE and ARROGANT officers.
Went to the branch in Sri Petaling to renew my car insurance a few days back. As in the previous years, a helpful staff at the customer service desk will assist with the calculation, but this time, a plump lady (due to lazying too much?) who happened to be there was so unwillingly to even answer simple question but to ask me to direct all those to the counters.

What kind of service is that??? Even the gahvermen officers are much better than them!

There I went, to the counter only to be greeted by another stern-looking officer…by the name of Syamiza. Again, another lazy bum who is just as 'slow' as the first one. Her answer is like “the calculation is just similar as in previous years” fullstop.

That one I know lah…but what is the figure???
When asking on what are the items that can be deducted and by how much…all that she mentioned is that “it all depends on u!”

Depends on me about wut???

I got so pissed off with her incomplete answer that did not even answer my question. Any Tom, Dick and Harry can even answer with such line.
Of course when I m asking such, my intention is to reduce the premium, summore this lady showed her blur face with her stupid answer. Cibai betul!
She then asked me to value my car. As I m unsure of whether there is a metrics to value certain vehicle, I asked for a suggestion.

And again, she gave her default answer “it all depends on u”.

Is she trying to fool me or what?
Then, with an arrogant tone, she offers a suggestion after seeing me thinking for long.
Alas, I requested her to provide me the figure and I do the calculation myself, by borrowing her calculator. And even with that, she was so reluctant to do so…I really have to specify my query that I ONLY WANT to know how much is the ‘basic premium of the insured amount’.

Well, this is the most terrible bank services I hav ever encountered. And mind u, there was no one in the bank during that hour and it was a weekday, not even nearing the closing time.

It simply gave me that impression as if these staffs hav just got their pay cut, hence such bad services.

Half Day @ Immigration Office

Went to renew my passport at Pusat Bandar Damansara few days back. Before goin, I did a lil' homework by gathering some info from this blog:

http://www.lifeinkl.com/2008/05/10/how-to-renew-your-passport/

This site might be a great help for many first timers who plan to go there, but unfortunately not for me.
I reached there at about 9:30am, parked my car next to HELP institute, and mind u, the ticket machine was under repair. Fearing they will charge me a maximum of RM7 per entry, I walked to the security kiosk to get my time stamped parking ticket, which is written manually on a piece of useless card.

As I proceed to the immigration office, there were already touts standing outdoor trying to confuse u with their services…some even claimed that the photo kiosk in the immigration office isn’t working, thus u will need their services…These people are darn ANNOYING!

A fren who went there earlier this year told us that the DIY machine was kaputt during his last visit…and most likely it will still kaputt since then. We went to check and found that his statement is INDEED TRUE. Those machines have been sitting there redundantly, collecting dust and gonna be a museum item soon.

Hence, no choice but to head up to the counters to do it manually - the GahVerMen way.
Before that, hav to purchase the forms at RM1 each…wut the fark?!!!!@#$%^&
They charged us for even a piece of paper? DARN! Imagine having 10 members in the family and u will be spending like RM10 for just 10 pieces of paper! We already paid so much for our new passport and taxes, and still the gahvermen want to rob us more…blardy $$$ sucking GahVerMen!

My advise to u: Go print ur own copy from internet before heading here and make sure it is with front-back page.

Altogether it took about 3.5 hour to complete, thank God the service is fast and the frontline officers are cordial enuff to assist us…but I still prefer the services in Subang…better services and lesser touts…muahaha!

Not to waste any time in that darn boring place, I rushed off to the parking lot and get my car out before they overcharge me…but too bad, this $$$ sucking authority who operates the parking lot still charged me RM7!!!!!

Total damages: RM300 (for a new passport) + RM1 (for the form) + RM10 (photos) + RM0.20 (photocopy IC) + RM7(parking fare) = RM 318.20

And I ended up paying extra RM2 for the photos when I could get them at just RM8…

Feasting time...but not with nudles!

Been having a busy week running own errands and chauffeuring people to do theirs as well. I will go broke by end of tis month due to $$ spent on renewing car insurance, passport and my about to expire driving licence on next month. Not to forget, tis is the month of Mother’s Day celebration which coincides with my mum’s birthday month. There were feasts after another as to celebrate mum’s retirement age…pics will b uploaded later once I got them frm sis.
Good thing is tht I m gonna go debt free starting next month cuz I finally settled my car loan! Woo-hoo!!!
And as usual, weekends were usually spent on house cleaning, hence no one will cook on that day. Eat out is often, but recently the weather was super hot & dry, not to mention the heat that will burn your skin, I opted for a lazier choice, that is to cook instant nudle!
Here is it…my super delicious Maggie mee prepared with lotsa luv…using my method…
Got method summore eh???
the nudles were boiled first as to rinse off the wax (the substance that made them stick together) while the soup will be boiled separately. See that?…so much care and luv being put while preparing it…cuz we luv our heart!

N.u.d.L.E.s

Had this as my brunch on last weekend. Been craving so much for 'Pan Mee'.
('Pan' = a Chinese word, not referring to those utensil used for frying bacons & eggie!)
There is someting extra with tis noodle...complimentary fishballs without additional charges...
Sure brighten up my day.
Slurpppppp!!!
Finish the whole bowl...till u BURP!!!
likeeeee it alot...

Another crime in town

If you see a guy (especially Indian) who rides a motorbike with a bloody hand knocking on your window demanding you to stop and asking for tissue paper to clean the blood when you are driving a car, remember DO NOT stop the car at all. Even if he damages your car or holds the side mirrors tightly, DO NOT stop the car but drive directly to the nearest police station. This kind of criminal tactics have been reported in about 40 cases in Seremban, K. Lumpur, Shah Alam, P.Jaya and Klang Town police stations (actually around the whole country). These guys are mainly Indian gangsters, They work in a group and dare to commit this crime even in crowded areas where nobody will dare to stop the car to help you. The main purpose of this dirty tactic is to rob you and/ or even commit rape if you are female driver driving alone. Please forward this message to the people you care about.

Arsenal vs Manchester United

3:56am: Came back while halfway watching match btw Arsenal vs MU at the nearby mamak stall, knowing who will win ardi. Good business for that stall (due to the crowds) even on weekday at tis odd hour! There were several roadblocks while on my way back. As expected, we were stopped by them, and immediately 2 of them started flashing torchlight, scanning each of us suspiciously as if we are criminals. The police are super hardworking these days eh?
Luckily we abide all the rules, bucking up our seat belts and drive extra slow, but once passing them, devil rulez...muahaha!

Back to Nature

It has been years since i put up some pics from my lovely garden. Though i hardly lift up my finger to do gardening these days, i m proud that my plants still alive and ever green.
i dun mean to hang u up there, if u behave well i'l put u down ;P
beyond reached...so high that it almost reach the sky ceiling!
here's another one of the same species
and i switched my attention to those on the ground
oh, my shaky hands
here's a clearer pic ;-)
and lastly, huh? u again???
to be continued...

Foods in a Day

I used to see 'Foods in a Day' posting by other bloggers (with yummylicious pics), thus i decided to do my own posting about tis topic.
Was having a long break due to Labor Day, so i decided to get some delicacies from the neighborhood morning market. Here are some of my B.I.G. Breakfast - 'oriental style'

'Tai Pao' (aka big bun with pork filings). Still fresh as u can see its moist surface.
Here are the ingredients - pork, chicken, egg...all jumbled up till u couldn't differentiate wut-is-wut.
Supposingly to hav shittaake mushroom but i couldn't find one in it :-(
Dessert that comes with Big Pau was none other than soft & smooth tau-foo-fa (beancurd pudding)
But sadly, this tau-foo-fa isn't as smooth as those in Ipoh, another disappointment :-(
Then, mum bought wu-kok (yam pastry with pork filling) for herself.
Here is the operated wu-kok
My big breakfast supposed to last til my dinner @ 8, but too bad, i felt hungry in the afternoon, so i munched a sweetcorn...krunch krunch!
Dinner time! i had yong tau foo (stuffed beancurd)
The name itself means beancurd stuffed with minced pork+fish, but somehow, it has evolved to varieties such as 'yong' bittergourd, eggplant, chillies, lady fingers etc watever tht can be stuffed!
Salivate yet?
