Continuation of the previous post...
After the sumptuous buffet lunch, we proceed to visit the Cu Chi tunnels.
The tunnels were used by Viet Cong soldiers as hiding spots during combat, as well as serving as communication and supply routes, hospitals, food and weapon caches and living quarters for numerous North Vietnamese fighter.
The guide brief us on all sorts of hiding spots and traps available.
One of it is this 'lubang' (hole) which is covered with dried leaves that no one can notice its existence.
We were doubtful if a person can fit into this small hole...Then the fella demo this to us...
Now u see....then it gone!
He even asked us to try out...I was afraid of dark (and narrow space with no ventilation), so no thanks!
Next is the trap.....

not until u flip it and reveal all the sharp nails...whoever who stepped on it....sorry la...bye bye!
another trap...the 'rolling trap'....
There are plenty of 'cruel and inhumane' traps found there...and these were just a part of the 'destructive tools' besides the landmine and agent 'orange' which were widely used during the Vietnam war....
After then, we adjourned for our dinner back in the city centre…
We had our dinner in a cruise ship!
yay!
with evening performances by multi-lingual entertainers who can sing in various languages..
the scenery along the river is breathtaking
seeing another cruise ship passes by...so brightly lit up.

reminds me of the 'Shanghai Huangpu river cruise' that i had back in 2014
the development in HCMC is fast catching up, it is very happening with 'lightshows' and night life.
the cruise took about 2 hours inclusive of dinner meal and performances...
but my eyes were too glued to the sceneries along the river...so mesmerising...
while enjoying the local beers...cheers!!!

wow! your company really went all out to thank you all with this trip. Thanks for showing us the tunnels. I don't enjoy visiting places like this so looking at them through photos is enough.
The Viet Congs were quite remarkable and tough. Like Mun, I find such places too grim and depressing with negative vibes.
So scary and cruel those traps!
The VietCongs were famous for brutal tortures and war traps! Those trap's spikes made my stomach turn.
The river view with buildings is very beautiful.
