Late Dinner @ McDonalds, TPM

Was working till late in the office on a Friday evening. On the way home, decided to stop by McD to grab something. Seeing the drive thru queue was super long, i decided to park my car and dine-in.
Surprisingly there was no one dining-in...so i excitedly went in only to find out that the staff purposely off the aircond in the premise to prevent spread of COVID thru air. No wonder it was so stuffy inside and no one wants to dine-in. I'm still OK with the warm stuffy condition, after all i would just be there for about 20 minutes max (as I can finish my meal quite fast).
Ordered a set of Nasi Lemak McD with a piece of fried chicken and ice lemon tea.
quite a big portion with a huge piece of spicy fried chicken. Was given the chicken rib part.
the sambal, despite its small portion, was super spicy!
i also had a sundae cone for RM1.23 coz long time never had that....ever since the lockdown in May.
my 'happy meal' costs RM14.60 inclusive of service tax.
Overall, the nasi lemak tastes good with fragrant rice and super spicy sambal. I think i will order that again when i crave for spicy food.๐Ÿ˜€

Actually, to me, the McD sambal is borderline between nice and annoying to me. I think as I and my taste buds am getting older, it is getting more and more annoying than nice. Annoying in that eating that only gives me suffering but no enhancement in food flavor profile whatsoever.

Wah, working late in the office already ah u. We like to eat McD nasi lemak and regular fried chicken without eating the sambal because they are too spicy for us.

Mun: yea...they need to tone down the spiciness.

Good to hear that the rice was nice and fragrant but no no for me if the sambal is very spicy as i cannot take too spicy. But how was the chicken? Was it good?

I didn't know that without air cond running would prevent the spread. It's everywhere and need not wait for air cond to blow. Anyway you are not fussy and could eat happily there.

Tried McD's Nasi lemak once. Out of curiosity. That was last year or was it a year before?? Did tasted it when it first launched. Haha. I only remember the sambal was good.

Perhaps the fried chickens are getting spicier. I seriously think so as I can no longer tolerate the spiciness as well.

Generally, I've heard good comments on their nasi lemak but I don't know if I'd want to try. Good nasi lemak to me still belongs to those roadside stalls + I like sotong with my nasi lemak more than fried chicken...hee..hee! ;)

I haven't tried the nasi lemak yet. If I happen to be in the same vicinity I might want to try it and also the fried chicken too. It has been a long time, can't remember how the fried chicken tastes like.
