CNY Decors

CNY is just a few days away! These days, most malls & shops are thronged with shoppers with last minute shopping and preparation. I don't celebrate it extravagantly, hence i only do the usual shopping like any normal day and 'leisurely window shopping' just to kepoh on the CNY decors.
While others were busy spring-cleaning, i pulak laze around and went uphill😂
Guess where i took this picture?
yes, SkyAvenue mall in Genting.
Things are still the same up there, with a few new restaurants opened (and a few closed down).
Burger & Lobster is still doing well, Harry Ramsden and Five Guys are still around.
[Above] A new Swensen's has been set up in front of Skytropolis. This spot used to be an open area, but now they have set up a permanent structure (shop) for this dessert/ice-cream shop.
It's still quite happening here & there.
There's even a 'CNY market' being set up, selling CNY goodies.
Lotsa cookies.
Each booth is well decorated with lanterns and fake jasmine flowers.
But the orchids sold here are real.
Real orchids
more orchids...
Meanwhile, at First World hotel, there are also lanterns along the lobby.
Dragon decoration in the casino.
And more decorations at SkyAvenue complex (mall)
[Below] Lanterns at Kim Hua Atrium (in SkyAvenue complex)

Back in the neighborhood, spotted some simple decoration in the Pinnacle mall.
CNY cookies selling at the 'Authentic Bakery'....
looks good and tempting...

Meanwhile, I had tiger prawn noodle to usher into the new year....
*giant freshwater prawn is too expensive, i can only afford this😂
According to tradition, when you eat prawn (har), you will be filled with happiness and laugh 'har har'.
Let's hope for happier days ahead!
