this picture says it all...yes...it was Korean food on my final day of training...which was also the exam day!
we went back to the same 'dim place' as the previous 2 days and found our way (thru the darkness) to this Korean BBQ restaurant.
but we are not having BBQ...
me & colleague were not in the mood for lunch coz we were anxious about our exam later.
but still we hav to eat...Food for thought, rite?
and yours truly kills anxiousness by taking lotsa foodie & surrounding pics!
So here goes, my 'dosirak' (aka bento in Korean) consists of spicy squid, kimchis, blanched beansprout & spinach, fried anchovies with cili padi, potato salad and 'somekind-of-flourlike-that-shaped-like-sotong' (dun ask me what is that)...
it was a very filling meal...yet a memorable one...coz that kind of spiciness gave me even more 'thrill' before the exam!

Ah, free food again. Did they limit you all to three fixed items on the menu this time too? The food in the bento looks like can be eaten with lots of rice because they are very flavourful.
Mun: yea, we dun order from the usual menu. The training participants were given a separate customized menu. For this, we have choices of having Korean hotpot soup (2 different flavors)or this dosirak.
Lately only I start to like a bit Korean food...haha but not most of them. Bibimbap and Bulgogi for being time.
Yee Ling: mine is bulgogi (luv @ first taste) and kimchi. But I begin to like their spicy pancake too...Being influenced by watching mukbang lately.
I think first time I seen Korean food served in a bento. That's actually a good idea.
What a posh place to dine Korean food. I am sure their cooking is good from the photos. Actually the folks in China and Korea have been serving with bento trays for a long time now in their countries. Who created the bento trays?
RealGunners: huh? Korean dosirak is kinda old stuffs...nothing uncommon.
Twilight Man: I did not try out their BBQ (Koryo-Won specialization) hence I do not know how good/bad is their food overall...The banchans are so far OK.
