Shanghai, Day 1 - Part 3 (Noon)

It was spring in April, in fact it was the beginning of spring, as the weather was still cooling
Nothing beats the enjoyment of feeling the fresh air and the cooling windy/rainy weather, plus colourful flowers on the streets...
after lunch, we were taken to the Radisson Hotel in Nanjing Road for check-in.
I shared the room with another young lady whom I only got to know during flight. She will be my roommate for the next 5 days.
I picked my bed beside the window...I prefer to be nearer to the window to enjoy the view of the city skyline
here's the view from my room. Directly facing the People's Park.
and there goes the "trademark" Radisson wall mirror...
on the left of the room's window...stood one gothic building located jst next door.
Shanghai is a vibrant city, but once it hits midnite, most of the city lights are "off"...even at some prominent landmarks.
if u r a night owl...perhaps Xintiandi would be the best place to hangout...elsewhere, there isn't much nightlife that I could find.

Lovely flowers. Your hotel room looks very nice. Do you feel uncomfortable sharing a room with a total stranger?

Mun: I miss those colourful flowers by the roadside...Well, i thought i would feel uncomfortable with a stranger, but eventually i manage to adapt, well it's oni for 5 days afterall;-) Perhaps both of us are about the similar age, that gave me the 'feeling' of staying with a roommate back in those college years.

I love the colourful flowers.. See also feel happy la.. Oh, I think I will feel uncomfortable with a stranger too, but if we have things to chat, then I guess it's not so bad..

RealGunners: at first I thought that Shanghai would be full of nitelife too, but other than Xintiandi (similar to KL Changkat Bukit Bintang), other places are pretty dead. The park in front of my room has it's light off before 12. Even the McD isn't operating 24 hours in a busy shopping district. It was Friday nite and it's pretty quiet and cold in Nanjing road :-(

Princess Ribbon: I wish I could have such colourful flowers in my garden, but too bad, no time to plant & maintain...

Shangri-la Hotel, Orchard Road, SG

Posting some pictures of Shangri-la hotel SG. It is located on Orange Grove Road, just off Orchard Road, in a quieter, more residential area...
