Shanghai, Day 1 - Part 2 (Foods)

these food were on display at some food courts...luring the first timer patrons...like me...
similar to supermarket food court (such as Jusco), patrons pick their choices and pay at the counter...
these stuffs have been sitting at the display panel for quite some time...coupled with people who snap photos (yea, referring me) and having it being exposed to anyone so I guess the food is rather unhygienic.
Eat at your own risk!
Anyhow, does this looks like a FOOD FEAST???
Lotsa dessert, pudding, 'tong sui' etc
much to my 'amazement'
and "xiao long bao" (soup dumpling)
plus some ala-carte side dishes...such as pork trotter, crabs, soup wonton
there were all sorts of jellies, puddings...many which I totally hav no idea on what are those...
luckily...I know well of these dim sum...
there were at least 15 varieties of dim sum in the arrays
plus fried stuffs...
more and more fried stuffs...fishball, shrimp ball, 'jiaozi' (meat dumpling), etc
I didn't try any of those...coz most of the food here have been on display for quite some time & giving the perception that it isn't fresh (or at least freshly prepared like how normally restaurant does)
plus, I'm sceptical of its hygiene...I dun wanna ruin my holiday with diarrhoea.
Price is reasonable, but I can get similar items with better quality elsewhere.
there are a few of such food courts around the vicinity, but most are selling quite similar items, just a matter of being delicious or not...so is about hits-and-misses if u r to try out those fare.
Bon Appetit!

You keep talking about the hygiene concerns, then the last 2 words is BON APPETIT? LOL!
For me, I will see if that place is doing brisk business or not, if it is then they food flow rate is better, then can take the risk.

RealGunners: LOL...it may b good and delicious...never try never know, but as I mentioned earlier, eat at ur own risk. I dun see much ppl dining there, so I'm abit skeptical. Well, my holiday is too precious. A tour mate (together in our group) happened to get hospitalized for eating street snacks...so I lagi dunwan to take the risk.

I would not dare to try too especially since you and many others have been taking photos of the food and maybe talking near the food (saliva may have flown into the food). No one stopped you from taking photos of the food?

Mun: surprisingly no one stop me from taking pics of the food...those people manning the stalls are mostly hired staffs...not the owner of the stalls, so I guess they dun really care much.

Happy Walker: yea, it looks delicious and the 'tong sui' are colourful to attract our attention...Lol

OMG all the food looks so gooood! I dare not try all (scared tummy upset), but would love to try a lil' bit of everything though.. But one thing about me, when I'm travelling, I won't dare to eat too much.. But if I'm in my own territory, then I can eat like a glutton, kaka..

Princess Ribbon: me too! I m more careful with foods when travelling, but when I m back in KL, i m the daring foodie person who explore and go extreme.
