McD Breakfast

This isn't the first time i had McD Big Breakfast, but the first time of me having it FREE.
With their recent promotion of spending MYR5 for 2 FREE Big Breakfast, i got hooked.
So, here it is, the "take-away" version to be enjoyed @ home, as it was too packed to eat in the outlet!

December 2010 - February 2011

Dec 2010 til Feb 2011has been a very busy period. Never in my life to have such a hectic, fast-pace and chaotic lifestyle and i admit tht my life went haywire. I found myself constantly chasing after time, and left no choice but to neglect this blog for good.
Here's some updates of happenin's around
I
Had donuts for Christmas, plenty of them
 Some gifts to give out
 And those that we received
a simple gift for me, from myself
and some very traditional greeting cards from Thailand,  thanks Woody!
And i bought myself another book, am currently digesting it...
Will take some time before i post a review of it
another dear colleague lend another book, seemingly she knows i m still adapting to a new environment, a constantly changing, fast-pace environment...she thinks this book would ease my suffers
and this was the meal i had on the 15th day of Lunar New Year, consists of vege soup, steamed talapia fish, chicken with black soy sauce, and "yee-sang"
here's a close-up picture of the take-away "yee sang" bought from Esquire Kitchen
it was yummy...but too bad, i dun have mch time to savor each of these...
hopefully next year will be a less chaotic time, so tht i could enjoy the festive season more ;-)

Genting Highland re-visited

It has been quite sometime since my last outing to a hill resort. It was year 2008 when i last visited Genting Highlands. This time around, I have another free stay at First World hotel. Despite a cheapskate hotel, it was a good escapade from the city hectic life. Jumping at the opportunity, I headed to catch the free shuttle bus early in the morning. Not exactly free, some fares need to be paid as deposit…but still worth it...
With that small sum, I got to have:
  • Free return shuttle ride
  • Enjoy free Chinese New Year musical show at Arena Genting
  • Have free meal in the casino

 and here's our tiny room
note how much it  has changed from my previous visit!
all equipments being provided - fridge, hair dryer, water heater, clothes hanger, proper sanitary stuffs, and most importantly all were clean
i can make hot drinks with this heater
 coffee, tea or me???
 this is the washroom
with their all-in-one shampoo, conditioner and soap
 the shower area
And since we have a "world card" worth MYR50, we had another free dinner at New Orleans café.

Overall damage: ~MYR10
for the entire outing, cool???

FullHouse, Sunway Pyramid

Been hearing a lot about this cosy place, but haven’t been able to drop by. Sounds pathetic huh???
Hence, during the last Christmas holiday, went in to have a "look-see-feel" of this so-called boutique-concept restaurant.
Here's what we had...
garden salad, chicken chop and cream soup
 i luv their gravy
salmon with cheese powder spread on the garden salad, tasted...ermmm, weird!
 here's for dessert
it was their set meal, which only available during weekdays,
so for those weekender, sorry, u gotta order ala-carte!

The Fullerton Hotel

Apart from Raffles hotel, the Fullerton can be considered as Grand Ol’ Lady too. Built during the colonial days, it has an anglo-European architecture that captures my heart...
I have been longing to step my foot into the Fullerton, but many occasion, time doesn’t allow. This time i dun give myself an excuse. Come rain or shine, i must visit this heritage boutique hotel...And finally i'm here.

 The gothic-like window frame
 the main lobby
 stairways from various direction
i like how it feels here
but too bad, i dun stay here
let the melodic rythm fills the air
 the staircase again
 and the decoration
stopping by a bakery shop, this miniature replica of Fullerton (made of biscuit) captures my attention
it is not for sale, of course!

Christmas Decor @ Great World City Mall

This place is so darn near my area, that it has become a frequent place for grocery shopping. Their decorative are magnificent, at least for a moderate scale mall.
 the brightly lit Christmas tree
 the chrismassy ambience
 shinning golden ornaments
more golden stuffs on the table
 classic & pristine
On personal opinion, their decoration is much better than some megamalls in KL, not to mention Mid Valley and The Gardens that are being left behind in terms of new ideas and artistry.

Fish & Co, and my frenzy-cold late nite outing

I had my deprived life in SG. I did not have the chance of savouring my long lost ol’ Chang Kee currypuff, i missed out the MOS Burger, chai kueh, fried carrot cake and soybean ice cream...
But i m contented to be able to get my coffee Slurpy fix @ 7 Eleven! Believe it or not, i hav been hunting for Slurpy all over KL for the past months but couldn’t get one due to their malfunction machines! Anyhow, i m glad coz not only i could hav Slurpy, but also their mashed potato...And the price doesn’t change after years, it is still sold at $1
Apart from that, having been a fan of Fish & Co, nothing could stop me from patronising the outlet, at their origin homeland. It was quite late when i went there, with the restaurant almost closed, but surprisingly the waiter did not give a cold and unwelcome service. I was pleased to be served cordially and they even asked me if i would like to order any dessert after my meal, and that was already past 10!
The portion was huge, i had a hard time finishing it, but i managed to wallop everyting on the plate...coz....I DUN WASTE FOOD...
To burn off the calories, went for a brief walk around the place, enjoyin’ the jazzy tune from the nearby CD shop. Unfortunately it was already the closing time, nothing much to see except to enjoy the serenity of the surroundings...things were quite different in mall at the end of the day...

 shops closing
wait...the nite is still young...
and i can't get enuff from these hanging bulbs and decoration
perhaps i should come earlier tomorrow
"thank you for shopping with us"
*lights off
