Mee Tarik @ Sri Petaling

Tried out a new restaurant in the neighborhood. The shop name is in Malay but it is a Chinese muslim restaurant. From the menu, the prices look reasonable, so I went in to try.
RM 1 unlimited drinks, but I did not order coz I already have my own drinks.
[Below] Do you notice something unusual in the menu?😄
The interior of the restaurant....it has private dining seats with curtain...
[Below] Here's my food...
I had beef fried noodles. There are some capsicums, onions and a few slices of beef in it.
The noodle texture is similar to 'pan mee'. A bowl of soup is provided with this fried noodle. The soup tastes gamey like 'sup kambing' (mutton soup). Not my type of soup😐
Out of curiousity, I also tried the lamb skewer. I usually see people ordering skewers in Chinese muslim restaurant, so i thought it must be their famous dish.
Unfortunately, the meat was hard and dry. I prefer our Malaysian satay more...
I guess Chinese muslim food does not suit my palate, although the fried noodle tastes OK (psst....our mee goreng mamak or hokkien mee tastes better lah!)
But well, it is a good try, if you never try, you'll never know😀

They are not that salty and flavourful is it? Thank you for reviewing the lamb skewers. I would want to try that but now I won't after reading your review

So innovative to have curtains inside the restaurant for privacy.

They have overcooked the meat until it becomes hard and dry.

Something unusual, is it they repeated the prices of braised beef noodles and lanzhou beef noodles on top and below.

Not repeat prices. They put the prices in Renminbi RMB.

Lotus: yes, I think they have overcooked the skewer.

Mun: bingo!
