Decided to try on some other food....this time I ordered from Buharry Briyani which i have not heard of...
Gave it a try coz of the free delivery stated in the Foodpanda app.
The recommended item is their briyani rice....
which comes with papadam and a chicken drumstick (wrapped in a separated plastic bag, shown below)
i also ordered a chicken murtabak and a piece of roti canai kosong...
the curry dhal sauce and the pickled onions (for murtabak) are provided in small plastic packets.
The chicken murtabak is abit on the dry side coz there is not much egg & oil used in the minced meat.
Roti canai is quite standard....it was still hot when reached us. Best eaten hot/warm when the dough is still fluffy.
The briyani rice is quite alot...one whole full box (weighted about 450g ++) with a hard boiled egg buried beneath the rice...This briyani rice comes with papadam & chicken (ayam masak merah).
Overall the foods are OK.
The total price for all the above: RM17.90 inclusive of delivery
My mum dislike the briyani coz got gamey taste/aroma, hence I will not order again.

For me I rarely order this kind of food, those that comes with a lot of oily gravy. Nice to eat but very annoying to dispose of the trash later on. Which is why... gosh I miss some nice roti canai now!
You can use bread to dip in the gravy to eat up all gravy.
Price is ok for so many items. I believe the gamey taste that your mom dislikes is due to some kind of spices or herbs that they use because chicken doesn't have gamey taste.
RealGunners: yea, can dip the gravy with bread, if not jst pour onto rice like kari banjir...This dhal curry is not that oily, though the roti canai is!
Mun: We suspect the oil used in cooking the rice could be ghee, hence that gamey taste/aroma. Another theory: They also sells briyani kambing, so perhaps the rice is also cooked together (just that they did not scoop up the 'kambing' since ours is chicken order).
I was thinking of nasi briyani this afternoon. I can't remember when was the last time I had murtabak. I don't know where to get good murtabak.
Good to try new eatery, give them a chance. I like briyani but always can't finish all. Too filling. Murtabak looked thick. Must be good.
This is really cheap and worthwhile for so many items. I would heat them all with butter and the Chicken Murtabak will become superb.
Oh, I guess could be the ghee cos sometimes ghee taste too strong until I also cannot tahan. Oh, if they have Briyani kambing then I am interested to try.
I see this post already I teringin to Grabfood nasi biryani. LOL! I usually prefer mutton biryani.
Good value for so many items. Briyani is one item I can easily get (two shops within walking distance) so I try to space it out to avoid getting fed-up.
