Breakfast @ Oasia Hotel

Can't get enough of this pretty & nicely decorated tree😁
The ground floor houses the hotel cafeteria....
The elevators that bring you to the check-in lobby (12th floor)
The breakfast buffet spread
Condiments for porridge
I had porridge, fried meehoon, some curry veggies, baby potatoes, salads, watermelon and a vegetarian bao.
The gym (taken during daytime)
The view from my room window - Below is the courtyard at 12th floor right in front of the check-in lobby.
A pillar blocking my view of the city, otherwise I will have a clear view of the office, and perhaps MBS.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Back to the office. On the left is my future million-dollar apartment😃, further away is the Singapore Strait.
Skipped lunch after taken a heavy breakfast. By 3pm i was hungry again....so went over to the pantry to get some Vitasoy😀
My favorite fridge with lotsa beverages....
Got milo, ribena, vitasoy, some fizzy drinks, milk, sweet jasmine tea...
Mostly sugared drinks...can't drink too much although it's foc.
Oasia Hotel Downtown, Singapore
Stayed at Oasia Downtown in Tanjong Pagar this time. It is just next door to the Carlton City hotel that i previously stayed (in 2024).
The hotel cafeteria is located nearby the entrance at the ground floor (aka 1st floor by the hotel floor numbering).
The check-in counter is located at 12th floor instead.
Check-in lobby....
There are coffee machines, drinking water and green apples available for visitors.
Coincidently my b'day falls on the check-in date...
Thanks for the gift!
Now, let's tour the room....
toilet and shower area
Tooth brush, tooth paste, shower cap, sanitary bag, makeup remover cotton, handwasher/lotion in bottles
The shiny water tap
tea/coffee
no bottled drinking water provided because you can drink from the tap!
bathrobes, iron board, torch light, slippers, laundry bags and safety box....
Meanwhile at the side of the bed - the AC temperature control, phone
and a digital alarm clock
as for my birthday gift, i got 2 macarons and a brownie 😍
[Below] The room entrance as seen from the corridor outside. My room is 1614.
The gym is located at 12th floor.
Overall, a pleasant stay despite a short one. The only thing inconvenient is that the lift is not connected all the way to the ground floor. Tenants have to go to the 12th floor and walk past the check-in lobby (one end to the other end) before taking another lift to the ground floor. Same goes for going up to the room.
The Christmas tree is nice though😉
Jewel Changi
Took Air Asia from KUL to SIN. Pre-ordered a Char Kuey Teow coz I wanted to try it after hearing so many positive reviews.
There are 4 prawns and a few slices of halal lapcheong. It was indeed tasty (rating: 8.5/10). The only thing lacking is wok-hei but can't expect that from a pre-packed CKT.
Thick clouds...It was raining at some areas along the way....Later during the evening, I learnt that several areas in Klang Valley and West Malaysia were in flood.
Touched down Changi an hour later.
Saw the billboard ad about Jewel Changi....Since I wasn't in a rush, why not drop by for a visit?
The immigration checks was a breeze, I was out of the airport in 5 minutes.
Took a free shuttle bus from T4 to T2.
At one junction, the bus stopped for quite long. I thought it was just the traffic light but then suddenly an entourage with traffic police and a black official limo passed by....carrying Malaysian flag. I wondered which Malaysian minister made a visit to SG then only i realised it was our PM after reading the news.
The bus journey from T4 - T2 was only a short one (roughly 10 minutes). After alighting the bus, I followed the signboard to the Jewel.
Passing by the bridge. There are travelators along the bridge.
The walkway & bridge are all covered (indoor).
It was drizzling rain outside.
Finally reached!
The 'waterfall' structure is massive. At one point, it came out mist.
The garden below....
Very soothing 'waterfall'
and therapeutic too😂
feels like surrounded by nature greens although it is not a real jungle😍
