CNY Snacks

As usual, my fav is always our homemade ngaku chips!
This is a very exclusive chips coz we only fried 2 canister for this year. One is given to sis & BIL, so only left a canister for us.
second fav is the pineapple tarts...mom bought a canister from a shop in Petaling street. It has been ages since i last went there, am totally clueless about the shops in Petaling street...
kuih kapit....ok la...taste just so-so but it is a must on every CNY!
cornflakes cookies - buttery and have crunchy cornflakes in each piece
choco chip cookies - taste like butter cookies but with chocolate chips...quite nice too.
we also bought bakkwa, mostly eat with bread as sandwich.
So, what do u have for CNY?

Wah, I see you got the definitive snacks of cny - ngaku chips and kuih kapit! I didn't eat them both this year. I bought only the caterpillar cookies and pineapple tarts. So diligent that you made those ngaku chips.

I also fried ngaku chips this year. Only bought 2 kg plus compared to previous years before MCO. My opposite neighbour gave us a canister of pineapple tarts just like yours. I bought a tin of kuih kapit. It has a strong artificial fragrance, not the type with nice egg smell. I made my own bak kwa with only 1 kg of minced pork belly. All the CNY cookies have been cleared except for some nuts. Now must start to diet to get rid of the extra weight gained eating all those cookies.

Wah...you have a nice collection of snacks! This year my snack cupboard is very bare, got nothing except nuts. I have bak kwa which I am enjoying and that's about it!

I always looking forward for ngaku chips and prawn crackers when comes to CNY. Not really a big fan of pineapple cookies but will have some. There is one drink I will always have during CNY is Anglia Shandy. Feeling like my CNY is incomplete without this drink. Hahaha

But but... my maid just told me 'Chinatown' is closed. She went out to Kota Raya last weekend on her day out. Me, I haven't been to Petaling St for years already.

Your choco chip cookies got more cornflake than chip. :p
