Year-end Training @ Vistana Hotel

Today might not be a good day for those who take public transport in their daily commuting (for areas in Klang Valley). The fares rises drastically and it really hit hard on some of my colleagues & frens who depends on the public transport to work. Komuter, LRTs, Monorail and even ERL has its' fare gone up severely. Meanwhile those who are taking public buses would have confusion over the new route number and ended up missing their buses or took the wrong ones.
Thankfully I drive to work and petrol prices gone down by 10 cent/litre...Well, I wonder what the 'gahvermen' is up to these days?! encouraging more people to drive??? Year-end is 'ON' but instead of joyous mood, we were thrown with such 'surprise gift'...
Whatever it is, I'm quite surprise that my company still manages to send me (and my colleagues) for a short course...And yea, I took LRT to the training venue....*luckily I chosen to join the November session, otherwise I would have to fork out more in paying the LRT fares!
The venue (as u can see it from the title) is located next to the Titiwangsa LRT station. There were participants from various companies and I was basically alone as my other colleagues will be in different session.
The hotel is kinda new but moderate in design, not sophisticated but still better than some run-down 5-star hotel in the city.
Clean and wide lobby
and my fav spot is this very glittering lift lobby
despite a few days' course, somehow I bumped into an ex-colleague who i have not met for 8 years.
Nope, not in my class, but next door...
Seems like this hotel is popular among training providers coz all seminar rooms seem to have occupied for trainings.

Your English is so good. I don't think you need to attend this "Essential English Grammar" Workshop but good to go away from the office once in a while and get to eat free food. I thought I have seen this Vistana hotel many years back when I started work. I think they just refurbished the hotel recently, that's why it looks new.

New public transport fares start today? I did not know that as I am off work now.

Vistana also new? Not gua? I had a gathering there like, 10 years ago or something...

I wonder what the Menteri Mengampu will say this time. Last time tol naik, tell us take LRT and bus. Maybe now he will tell us to walk instead >.< ...

wah, so happy go attend trainings in hotel leh.. and you attended this before the LRT price hike, how smart!! i guess every single commuters is feeling the pain.. we can accept increase in fares, but it does not justify such a sharp increase, some 50%, some 70% and some even more than 100% increase!! crazy..

I love it when my previous company had seminars and presentations, it was always at hotels, you can go a bit later than you usually pop into work, there is food and coffee, parking is for a flat fee and you can cabut halfway to go to a mall sometimes. Haha!

Yeah, I was shocked to read that ERL prices has gone up RM 20! It used to be RM 35 to KLIA/KLIA2 but now it's RM 55. Incredible!!!

SK: yea, such a sharp increase. I feel the pain too even when I rarely take the public transport.

Small Kucing: year end still got budget left, if dun spend for training it will get 'burned' for the year...So we jst utilize what was being left...

Huai Bin: u sneaked out halfway during the training? that training must be very boring!
