Sweet & Savoury

I'm not a person with sweet tooth, but when it comes to certain sweet pastry, I will definitely 'hunt' for it...
Well for my case, Shanghainese mooncake would be one of them. Been blogged about it in the past year, but am still crazy over it.
*yea, I know I'm abit outdated with this, but hey this post isn't about mooncake or mid-autumn festival.
I wouldn't get bored with it even if it is available all year round. But this thing is seasonal (during mid-autumn lah...), hence I have to endure my cravings till another year :-(
another seasonal sweet stuff that I craved for would be this McD taro pie...the fillings has some kind of taro sweetness and the skin is crisps enuff that I could only ask for more!
so addictive darn yummielicious!

I've eaten McD's banana pie many years ago, I guess it's not available now anymore.. Only apple and pineapple..

I prefer the banana pie over the taro pie, but they don't do it anymore. But we are definitely good friends about Shanghai moon cake. I haven't eat them this year arghhh!!! :(

Princess Ribbon: I can't really remember about banana pie back then....so far I have only tasted apple pie and taro pie.

RealGunners: who knows the banana pie will make a comeback in the future? this seasonal thingy is hard to predict especially in F&B market. I have haven't eaten Shanghainese mooncake on last year, so this year by hook or by crook, I must get it...and voila I got it! but it wasn't from Oversea restaurant.

When I read your post about Shanghainese mooncakes, I thought - wow, so "arm" with RealGunners, hehehehe. :)

I used to love eating McD apple pies but now I am kind of put off by the oily smell. Is the McD taro pie available now? I must go and try tomorrow if it is.

Mun: haha, luckily he isn't in KL, so I have less one competitor to fight on the limited Shanghainese mooncake.
oily smell on McD pie? I didn't notice that yet...perhaps of the frying oil used in that McD outlet, some cheapskate oil being recycled over & over again which caused that strong unpleasant oily smell..So, did u manage to try out the taro pie today?

Happy Walker: me neither...I prefer only taro pie
