Collection (Part II) - Stamps

When was the last time u seen a stamp on an envelope?

With the invention of electronic mails, physical mails or known as letters are no longer in sight...ok, perhaps still in used but many of the informal mails hav been taken over by electronic mails.

Thus, most of the letters i got nowadays are the formal ones from banks/some institutions, and they are mainly post-paid without stamp on its envelope. I guess the last time i seen one was about 2 years ago!
Thank God dad still keeps some of his stamp albums. His collection are HUGE! and i hav no idea on where it came from..

This sort of part time interest is almost extinct now.

From my personal view, collecting stamps is rather taxing.

Firstly u need to be very sociable by having contacts globally in order to exchange letters and stamps.

Secondly, doing physical mailing needs load tonnes of envelopes, papers and other writing materials, besides paying for the stamp itself.

Thirdly, u need to get a stamp album, and they ain't cheap, coz stamp albums are made of cardboard.

And last but not least, u need to hav lotsa patience to neatly arrange them into tht silly album!

Despite that, the older generations doesn't mind doin it! Coz it gave them some satisfaction when viewing back their collections that have been neatly arranged with personal touch!

Stamps from other countries

Local stamps. Colorful, isn't it?
