M Light

Passed by this eatery a few times while on the way to the bank but has never thought of trying it.
Probably because it was empty most of the time and the menu doesn't appeal much.
Few days back, I was hungry after running errands, so I thought of getting some noodles for late lunch.
Browsed their menu and noticed that they also have lu rou fan (minced pork rice), somewhere around RM14.90
I think their specialty is Shanghainese xiao long bao.
But well, next time....
This round I'm trying the zha jiang mian (noodles in fried bean sauce), RM13.90 nett.
It was served with a bowl of plain radish soup.
The ingredients in the noodles are simple - julienned cucumbers & carrots, peanuts and the fried bean sauce itself. The bean sauce has some minced pork, so it's not entirely vegetarian.
Mix everything together and you'll get some crunchiness of the cucumbers and carrots with the al-dente noodles. Taste OK and ordinary. Just good enough to fill the hungry stomach.
The interior is quite dim...
Weekday late noon, hence the place was quiet and empty.

Hong Fu Lou Dimsum
On another day, went to Hong Fu Lou dimsum for dinner....
yes, dimsum for dinner😀
(this eatery opens till 10pm)
Had my fav fried radish cake - RM8+
Flavorful with crunchiness from beansprout and chives.
Siu mai - RM8+
There are fresh bouncy shrimps in each piece😋
These two are my go-to items whenever I have dim sum.

M Light I think their specialty is the chicken soup. I bought takeaway chicken soup noodles b4 but haven't dined in there yet.

Hi Nux, re your post on 8th August, we used to have SOGO mall in SG years ago and I used to like to patronise it as I liked the apparels sold there. So nostalgic thinking about this mall, thanks for sharing.

Re your post on 3rd August, I had tried and tasted Pesto Pasta/Spaghetti before at Marina Bay Sands The Shoppes and like you, I didn't really like it too, the taste was mild and not really appetising and enjoyable to me.

Your dim sum meal in my opinion is a lot better than the noodles.
