Back to Chee Seong for dinner with family.
We ordered:
Steamed tilapia in assam sauce.
Appetizing with spicy & sourish gravy.
Salted egg calamary....always my favorite!
Claypot tofu with assorted veggie.
Yam basket with chicken chunks.
All the dishes taste good, no doubt this restaurant has been in business for years and stood the test of time. It recently expanded its shop by opening another lot opposite the original premise to cater for more customers. That lot only has dining area and is without a kitchen, which mean the staffs deliver the dishes/food from the kitchen by crossing the road (from the original premise).

I see the steamed tilapia in asam sauce make me want to order asam fish at Kar Hiong this Saturday. Unfortunately Kar Hiong's squids are very tough, we ordered once and never again.
The dishes you had at Chee Seong is very ngam for me and my family. Quite a task for the staff having to deliver dishes across the road to the second shop.
Ah, thanks for the information. If I eat there, I will make sure I sit in the original premise.
All the dishes ngam me, just that the calamari will be too chewy for my teeth.
