[Throwback] On my second last day in Panama, my Panamanian colleague brought us (me and Joel) to Amador Causeway for a sight-seeing after work. We left at 5pm and reached there around 6pm due to traffic jam.
This place is an iconic tourist spot (besides Casco Viejo & Panama Canal) as it connects four small islands by the Pacific entrance to the Panama Canal.
There are alot of private yachts and you can also see some bigger vessels from afar 'waiting' to enter the canal.
Great place for evening walks and cycling. Visitors can rent a bicycle, tricycle or scooters by hourly rate to explore from one end to another. Well, if you got the stamina, you can attempt to jog across the causeway which is about 6km long.
We rented a tricycle for an hour. The four of us pedal while enjoying the sunset along the causeway. Such a good exercise.
[Below] A stunning view of Panama skyline as seen from Amador Causeway. The yachts/ships and skyscrapers background reminds me of East Coast Singapore.
After an hour+ of walking and cycling, it's then time for dinner.
We went to a local restaurant named 'Mi Ranchito'. I ordered a grilled pork chop (chuleta) with salad (side dish) and coconut rice (Arroz con Coco)
The coconut rice tastes similar to our nasi lemak rice, as it is cooked with coconut milk (santan). 'Arroz con Coco' is quite popular to go with fish dish in Panama.
The pork chop coconut rice costs USD9.25++
It feels like eating nasi lemak rice without the sambal and a pork chop😂

The gym in the apartment.
The outside view from the gym.
The apartment caters for mostly expat, hence there are 3 different
languages on their signboard (Chinese, Spanish and English) - 3 widely spoken languages in the world.
I heard of 'por favor' alot in 'Mind Your Language' sitcom, only now i realise it means 'please'.
Instead of me having a good laugh at the funny English in that sitcom, now it hit back on me coz of my broken and funny Spanish😂
Gracias!

Thank you for sharing about your experience in Panama. Nice scenery. Food there is in USD so when converted back to MYR, your plate of pork chop nasi lemak is a luxury food here. 😂
Your Panama style "nasi lemak" looks quite delicious!
