Here's some of my recent workday lunches. I'm more of a noodle person than rice these days. The usual ones that I normally ordered in the nearby kopitiams are dried version pan mee such as below.
This pan mee stall is located in Serdang Lama, next to the Besraya highway. It is usually packed with locals and nearby office workers. A small plate used to be RM4.50 but now it has increased to RM5. Sometimes I would add-on with a bowl of beancurd skin in soup for an additional RM1.
then, on other days, we would frequent to this shop which offers a much comfortable dining environment - Auntie Ally Café in Sri Serdang...Price is reasonable due to it's location nearby the campus and is popular among the students. It offers ala-carte set menu ranging from rice to noodles. I would usually ordered yee mein in soup (RM5.50) with extra veggies (add on RM0.70).
tastewise not bad, at least it can keep me full til evening :-)

I am basically a rice person but recently I am eating more noodles
Mun: yee mein is aromatic too ;-)
Libby: so I guess u like both of these?
I am also eating a lot of noodles and cheat myself that it is less fattening than rice! LMAO.
We often jump when we see prices hiked by 50 sen or RM1 but unaware that the hawkers are facing terrible inflation too. Stupid gomen.
