This was my second visit within the year, the first visit I had Hainanese chicken chop. Whenever I have cravings for local western fare, I would usually go to this place and order chicken chop.
This time I ordered mushroom sauce chicken chop and add on ala-carte potato wedges. What a feast!
*my lunch + dinner
The chicken chop was just at 'passable' standard...the mushroom sauce is like those canned Campbell mushroom soup taste (but is of thicker version)....unlike the usual mushroom sauce i had in Steak Shack. Eating chicken chop with Campbell soup sort of gravy is kinda weird...hence i'm not goin to order this next time...

So Hainanese chicken chop tastes better than this one. Today is the first time I saw this shop so I know where it is now. Maybe one day I will go and have a look at its menu to see whether or not there is any food that I would like to eat.
What the... I've never seen too, people serve Campbell soup as mushroom sauce. The chef trying to be funny? >.<
Mun: personally I prefer Hainanese chicken chop, but well I hope it does not stop u from trying the mushroom sauce/others coz it is very much based on individual taste. Oh btw, I went to Tea Garden and tried the nasi lemak that u recommended...I will blog about it soon ;-)
RealGunners: I'm not sure if that's Campbell stuffs that they r using, but it taste to me like some canned mushroom soup...btw, the chef is a young lad (anak tauke), I guess he's temporarily taking over the kitchen while his dad (the boss) manage the rest of the stufs outside the kitchen. Small family biz, but has gain recognition in the neighbourhood.
I don't like to eat any food with sauce except curry sauce. Can't wait to read about your review of the nasi lemak as compared to the nasi lemak from Popo Kantin. I was at Tea Garden last Saturday too at around 4.30pm but I did not see you though I did look around for familiar faces. ;) I guess you went earlier, right?
Mun: u r such a 'curry' person...U looked around for familiar faces? u should be able to see me then, coz I was there around 4:30pm too. Were u seated outside?
No, I sat inside in the aircon area but I didn't see you. In the aircon area, only one table was occupied by around 6 Perodua Bezza promoters wearing blue t-shirts. Were you sitting outside? I left at 5.09 pm according to the bill I paid.
Mun: nope, I sat nearby the entrance, indoor aircon area. It's easy to recognize coz I was the only lone diner in there...the rest of the tables are patrons in group/couple ;-)
If you were there alone, you must have seen me when I walked out at 5.09pm. I guess you were sitting in one of those two cubicle seats with sofa like seats instead of individual chairs, right? I was sitting at the table right in front of the cashier.
Mun: this is puzzling, u were seated at the very same seat as me (at cubicle with sofa) and around the same time??? are we living in different dimension or what? LOL! anyway, I looked back those photo that I took in Tea Garden, it was indeed 23 July, 4:36pm. I left at 5pm.
No, I was not sitting at the cubicle with sofa. The cashier is not located behind the cubicle with sofas. The cashier is at the far end, near the other door (exit) furthest away from the entrance. I was sitting in front of that cashier, meaning I sat at the table (6 individual chairs) furthest away from the entrance so that's why I did not see you when I left at 5.09pm because you left earlier than me at 5pm. Aiya, what a pity I did not notice you when I walked in. Don't think we will get a chance to run into each other like this ever again. :(
Mun: I see...now I get it...wow, that was a close encounter :-)
