Family Dinner @ Chee Seong Restaurant

Back to Chee Seong restaurant for family dinner. It was a Tuesday (public holiday replacement for Wesak Day), marking the last day of the long weekend before people returned to work.
We ordered 4 dishes. They are:
Steamed tilapia in fermented bean paste. The bean paste was slightly sweet for our tastebud.
Stir-fried baby spinach - fresh and crunchy.
Chinese wine chicken soup in claypot - acquired taste, if you like Chinese wine then this soup is fine for you.
Braised seafood with tofu and assorted veggies - safest choice, you can't go wrong with fish maw, scallops and prawns😀
The 3 dishes before the fish was served...
For dessert, we had complimentary guilin gao (herbal jelly).
Overall, a good dinner, service was fast.
Total bill came to RM232 nett for 5 pax.

I love to eat wine chicken soup so I would totally love this dish. You sound like you don't like wine soup, is it?

Very good price because it is under rm50 per pax only.

All the dishes on the table suit my tastebuds! But I somehow don't like the taste of the herbal jelly.

Plain Jane eats plain food

Tried the mee siam with luncheon meat (RM12.95+) in Nam Heong. They are so generous with the sambal, but I personally think it is not needed...
