Tonkatsu by Ma Maison

[Below] Tsutaya bookstore in Pavilion BJ. Been here a few times but didn't buy any book.

It has a quiet corner for people to read and do their work. The window seats are facing the cascading water stairs fountain, so therapeutic to the eyes.

There's a cafeteria too, serving coffee and light pastries.

I prefer borrowing books than buying, so I guess I wouldn't come here for long.

Went to Tonkatsu by Ma Maison located a few steps away from the bookstore.

There was no queue outside...

Got myself a table....usually solo diner will be directed to the counter seats

The table has all the sauces/condiments in a tray.

I had pork loin tonkatsu with dark miso sauce.....

The sauce is sweet.....tastes like those dark sauce served with Chinese roasted duck😂

The tonkatsu was freshly prepared with golden crispy crust and juicy meat.

The bill came to RM44.10 nett after service charges and tax.

[Below] Had Zok's Noodle pork knuckle wanton mee few days ago....

Springy noodles and big fat pork knuckle. Sambal sauce and pickle chili provided free flow in the jars placed on every table.

Soup was too salty....i only took a few sips.

Family Dinner @ Yang Ming

Weekend family dinner at our local neighborhood restaurant....

We ordered:

3 cup chicken in claypot

Curry fish fillets with assorted veggies

Spinach

Tofu with minced pork

Overall, the dishes were good....taste and texture hit the spot....

The bill came to RM153.85 after service charges.

Long Weekend - National Day

Where to go during the long weekend?

Everyone balik kampung or going abroad....But I have no kampung and going abroad is out-of-budget....so......

nope....not for the theme park....

but just to kepoh the durians and smell the aroma....

It was drizzling rain, hence no one dining out....

Cooling day to enjoy the durians....but i did not buy....just smelling them is enough

Went to food court to have my meal instead....6 dishes mixed rice

Just ordinary dishes of braised pork, bitter gourd chicken, sweet & sour fish, long beans, broccoli and bitter gourd fried egg. Food court standard but tastes nice and good enough to fill my hungry stomach😋

Then, another meal in a hotpot restaurant

Before going home, tapao a Thai 'pad kra pao' rice

and some delicacies - lotus paste sesame ball and mini buns with char siew filling

And not to forget - the mooncakes....

Will be enjoying these mooncakes till next month!

Taco Bell & Tim Hortons, IOI City Mall Putrajaya

Taco Bell is having some kind of Malaysia Day promo with ala carte items selling at RM7.95

The menu as shown below. I've tried their tacos before so this time I bought a chicken wrap.

When was the last time you went skating?

Mine was more than 20 years ago...back then I used to skate in Sunway Pyramid and The Mines mall. The Mines skating ring has ceased operation after a few years.

Tim Hortons has been around since August last year...

It was only recently that I went to try....

I had a mocha iced capp

There's only one honey glazed donut left - I did not buy....maybe next time.

Pricewise the mocha iced is slightly cheaper than CBTL and Starbucks...

Tastewise on par with both.

Some souvenirs sold at the hotel's souvenir shop.....including this snake....

It's actually quite comfy to hold and squeeze this snake or just hang it around your shoulder and neck when cold.

[Below] Sunny day outside the office, taken on my last day before leaving to the airport.

Had our last meal with my manager before we took the same flight to AMS. He is taking another flight back to London from there.

I had Bolognaise penne pasta

and Ferrero roche cake

The company driver arrived on time to pick us up to the airport. We were the first few in the queue for check-in.

Check-in was breeze and I had ample time to walk around the airport and explore the place/shops.

Look at the clean white marble floor.....you can't spot any trash at all.

Then I spotted something sparkling from afar.....

This airport is the homebase for Copa Airlines (below) and is a regional hub to and from the Caribbean, South, North and Central America.
