Genting Highland re-visited

It has been quite sometime since my last outing to a hill resort. It was year 2008 when i last visited Genting Highlands. This time around, I have another free stay at First World hotel. Despite a cheapskate hotel, it was a good escapade from the city hectic life. Jumping at the opportunity, I headed to catch the free shuttle bus early in the morning. Not exactly free, some fares need to be paid as deposit…but still worth it...
With that small sum, I got to have:
  • Free return shuttle ride
  • Enjoy free Chinese New Year musical show at Arena Genting
  • Have free meal in the casino

 and here's our tiny room
note how much it  has changed from my previous visit!
all equipments being provided - fridge, hair dryer, water heater, clothes hanger, proper sanitary stuffs, and most importantly all were clean
i can make hot drinks with this heater
 coffee, tea or me???
 this is the washroom
with their all-in-one shampoo, conditioner and soap
 the shower area
And since we have a "world card" worth MYR50, we had another free dinner at New Orleans café.

Overall damage: ~MYR10
for the entire outing, cool???

FullHouse, Sunway Pyramid

Been hearing a lot about this cosy place, but haven’t been able to drop by. Sounds pathetic huh???
Hence, during the last Christmas holiday, went in to have a "look-see-feel" of this so-called boutique-concept restaurant.
Here's what we had...
garden salad, chicken chop and cream soup
 i luv their gravy
salmon with cheese powder spread on the garden salad, tasted...ermmm, weird!
 here's for dessert
it was their set meal, which only available during weekdays,
so for those weekender, sorry, u gotta order ala-carte!

The Fullerton Hotel

Apart from Raffles hotel, the Fullerton can be considered as Grand Ol’ Lady too. Built during the colonial days, it has an anglo-European architecture that captures my heart...
I have been longing to step my foot into the Fullerton, but many occasion, time doesn’t allow. This time i dun give myself an excuse. Come rain or shine, i must visit this heritage boutique hotel...And finally i'm here.

 The gothic-like window frame
 the main lobby
 stairways from various direction
i like how it feels here
but too bad, i dun stay here
let the melodic rythm fills the air
 the staircase again
 and the decoration
stopping by a bakery shop, this miniature replica of Fullerton (made of biscuit) captures my attention
it is not for sale, of course!

Shangri-la Hotel, Orchard Road, SG

Posting some pictures of Shangri-la hotel SG. It is located on Orange Grove Road, just off Orchard Road, in a quieter, more residential area...
