Masjid Jamek LRT station

I was craving for chili pan mee so got my fix at Super Kitchen restaurant.
The price has increased by RM1 (to RM13.50).
I also ordered an ala-carte pork dumplings (RM9+ i think)
My type of comfort food....This restaurant has been around in the same spot for 15 years since opening. It survives the test of time where F&B are volatile. In fact, it has grown consistently and weekend is usually crowded.

Another AGM food😅
The colorful wall 'art' in Masjid Jamek LRT station. There is a description for each replica...
but were written in Malay....

The view of Jalan Bangsar during off-peak time.
Years ago, I came here to attend training and got lost with the turnings to Jalan Maarof😅

Road Trip - Northern Barbados

[Continuation from the previous post
As she drove up north, we reached to the tip of the island, here you can see the Atlantic Ocean.
Cherry Tree Hill Reserve
Some kind of monument 😂
This place was previously the residence of the colonial British.
A petrol station - Rubis
Some wooden hut at a farm...
She drove us to the farm to drop by her MIL house. They own a farm.
Saying 'Hi' to the goat....
Some veggies at their farm.
The chattel houses at the rural area nearby....
Our short road trip took around 4 hours (to & fro)....
The skies turned dark around 5pm and it started drizzling....there was a landslide somewhere and it jam for an hour...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We reached back to the town centre (Bridgetown) around 6 plus....
Since it was nearing dinner time, me and my teammate went to tapao at the nearby mall, while our kind colleague waited for us. We offered to buy her dinner to return her kind gesture but she declined.
I had Indian food....
They have daily specials as below. Prices are in BBD (Barbados Dollar). 1USD=2BBD
Guess what I had?
The "Weekend Madness"
which is curry beef with spinach rice and coleslaw. It came with a can of soft drink.
The curry beef tastes like our Malaysian 'beef rendang'😋
Arcadia & Super99
[Throwback] Reached the airbnb on Saturday night. The following morning, I got a clearer view of the surrounding outside. The apartment is facing the city center located 8km away.
My first meal was at the 'Town Center' shopping mall food court.
I've been to this mall numerous times in my previous trips.
Settled with KFC at USD9.50nett
Then off to get some groceries at the nearby Super99. The apartment fridge is empty, hence I need to stock up with some foods.
Sunday is time for shopping😀
Panama coffee beans....
The view from the living room
Lobby, nearby the lifts
The transparent glass wall at the lobby
I need to register my thumb print to access to the common facilities/recreational area.
After that was done, I went up to the rooftop viewing deck to test my access.
a better view of the neighborhood from this rooftop viewing deck.
Can you see the sea?
Gym.
Study/meeting room.
Pool lounge.
Swimming pool.
The pool is facing the sea.
It was windy but hot (like KL), the evening view was breathtaking. Will post more pics soon!
RM9 Car Wash
Potted plants at my parent's house...ah, finally some natural greens (instead of fake plants)....
Went for car wash at the Shell petrol station along PLUS highway - RM9
Super huge Mixue vanilla softserve - RM2
My first meal after back in M'sia is not nasi lemak but curry chicken rice at Sunny Food Republic. It came with acar and sambal at RM11 nett.
The bright interior of Panama airport, taken on departure day. This is Terminal 2.
The kitchen of my airbnb home.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Their Subway menu is extensive!
They have grilled meat (which is grilled on the spot upon order), some cold cuts as well as beef, chicken and bacons too.
All other veggies/condiments/sauces are same as ours, unless you order the grilled version which has its own sauces (like chimichurri, guacamole etc)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Illegal parking will be fined up to USD2000. Don't play play!
My clear fridge food....
And the view outside my airbnb unit. On a fine day, you can see the vessels/cargo ships queuing at the ocean to enter the canal.
Less than a dollar shampoo
Mr.DIY has shifted to Level 1 in the neighborhood Pinnacle mall. It was previously located inside the supermarket at LG floor. Went in to have a look....
Cheap shampoo.....less than a dollar (if you convert to USD)😂
There are a few racks selling F&B items too....
my favorite Homesoy soy bean milk selling cheaper than the market price....it is usually RM3.35 (or higher) but here you can get it for less than RM3.
The individual packets are cheap too...
Cincau (grass jelly) drinks to cool down on hot days....
Do you like cincau drinks?
Talking about hot days....it was so hot recently that I decided to go uphill for some cool breeze....
It was still Hari Raya school holiday then, hence the weekend crowds
My chapfan in the foodcourt....soup and tea included in this set meal that costs me 6 points
The gigantic LED screens with ads in SkyAvenue complex
The colorful display from the screens creates a lively ambience
This year their Hari Raya decor seems simple compared to the previous years
[Below] A place for tea & drinks....
A section of this place was closed on last year due to repairs after a fire incident. It's now fully opened.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A snapshot of KL skyline taken from SUKE highway....ah, so scenic!
Peace and tranquil
It wasn't sunny but the weather was hot....superhot!
KL tower and Berjaya Times Square
KLCC twin towers are visible too....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I noticed that Uncle Soon fried rice has opened an outlet in the neighborhood....
I will go try it one day....
It's good to be back!
Back to the cinema after so many years…
The last time I went to the cinema was....8 years ago (I think). It was so long that I am kinda 'jakun' with the modern days' ci...
