Imaginatricks Show

Part of the purpose of goin up to Genting is to watch the Imaginatricks, an uproarious fusion of acrobatics, dance, comedy and action-packed show.
Purchased a ticket (RM96) for the Saturday evening show...
Upon entering the hall, I was surprised when the staff ushered me to the front (second row) which is meant for RM146 ticket holder. This could be due to the low turn up/ticket sales for ticket priced at RM146 hence they 'upgraded' me from row T to B....
The show started off with a group dance 'cabaret style' which is as good as those shown in Las Vegas or cruise ship.
colorful costume and professional international dancers
the ladies are pretty too...tall, slim and slender
this is a seven-man-pyramid high wire walk...from a Colombian stunt team.
This show is available daily until 24 May 2020, so u can have plenty of time to decide which day to watch!

Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park

The last time I went to Genting Highlands was in October last year...Back then the Skytropolis was still under renovation and not open to public yet.
Hence my only 'entertainment' back then was catching the SkySymphony @ SkyAvenue, besides shopping.
Well, the SkySymphony is still around and my favorite is 'Ocean Groove with Maestro Ning' coz of its rich, lively and colorful graphics.
it lightens up the atmosphere the moment it was played on air
feasting my eyes with the colorful graphics from these gigantic screens is indeed amusing
I could stand there watching it many times....yea, I had watched this many times!
Meanwhile the outdoor theme park is still under construction, not sure how it will turn up ever since Fox Studio has retracted their contract in building the Fox World theme park...
Anyway, since the indoor theme park is operating, the number of visitors have also increased...kinda 'congested' during the weekend!
I took this picture (below) before noon and it wasn't that crowded yet.
aerial view from the first floor of the newly re-opened First World Plaza...
other than the carousel and Ferris wheel, all the games/rides are kinda scary~~~

Resort Hotel, Malaysian Street Food & Shopping...

This time I stayed at the Resort Hotel with a theme park view...
My first choice is always Crockfords which is more pricey, but nevertheless i'm fine with Resort Hotel as the room is spacious.
The lift lobby is modern & bright too ;-)
 there goes our room....
 nice wall picture
the misty theme park view from our room at 12th floor
Fortunately the view was clearer at nite...
There was a concert held at Arena Genting on that Saturday evening. I can hear clearly those songs echoing from 'Vivian Chow' concert as my room is nearby Arena.
There was also a durian feast goin on at the carpark with various stalls selling Musang King, D2x, etc sorts of durians to tourists...Well, it's nice to eat durians at a cool place!
I went to explore the 'Malaysian Street Food' foodcourt just to look-see if there is any new stall around
 seems like all the same....
I was more fascinated with the interior, as the place looks like a typical old street with pre-war shophouses
this foodcourt is located at 4th floor, SkyAvenue mall.
Done with exploring, time for shopping!
bought a shirt using 'Rewards' points...first time buying clothes without forking a single cent!
shioknyer!

Cafe Ame Soeur

This cafĂ© is not to be mistaken with The Ame Soeur although it is of the same owner...
Having tried The Ame Soeur earlier this year I wouldn't want to go there again even if given another chance of free food (company team fund)…
Anyway to cut the story short, I happened to walk past the Café...it is a much smaller version of The Ame Soeur but the interior design is still impressive.
Does this fireplace needed for our hot weather?
It reminds me of Christmas....still (less than) half year to go....
the Victorian phone on display at the entrance...
I did not go into the Café since I have no intention in trying out their coffee....Anyway kudos to their interior design team!

Zhen Liew Siang Seafood Restaurant

Went to this place in Sentul some time end of last year.
We had nam yu fried chicken wings (RM20)...This is for 5 pax.
their famous deep fried choi sum (RM19)...it was crispy and taste better than potato chips!
banana leaf prawns and sotongs in salted egg sauce (RM48)
claypot nyonya style curry fish head (RM35)
the thick curry goes well with the rice...
All the dishes were superb! Unfortunately we dun come here often.
This place is popular among the KL folks and is crowded on every weekend..

Curries Craving

Some time end of last year, our company had a 'makan-makan' and we had ordered the Indian food catering. It was a buffet style and food were abundance - Tandoori chicken, mutton curries, mixed veggies, roti canai, papadam...all are my fav!
Just look at the plateful of food...i'm kinda kiasu to stuff everything into a plate!

On another occasion, I had Japanese curry rice at Yoshinoya (again)....yummmzzzz!!! I keep on ordering the same food in Yoshinoya.
my curries craving satisfied!

Weekday Lunches

These were some of my lunches during the working weekdays...well...the uncommon ones coz i dun usually eat like this...
Bolognaise spaghetti that i tapao-ed from a nearby Malay stall @ RM6.
Add-on omelette (RM1) and begedil (RM1) from another 'nasi campur' stall.
This combination tastes good as having begedil and omelette balanced out the sourness off the bolognaise sauce.
Beef rendang with pandan rice from Peranakan Place, IOI City Mall. The beef rendang is superb!
A few months ago i went back to my previous work area @ TPM and drop-by at the food court for lunch. Missed the chicken chop. The price was still as cheap with huge portion. This plate was only RM8.
BON APPETIT!

Gu On - Wagyu Beef Bulgogi Pot Rice

Back to Gu On coz i wanted to try their wagyu beef pot rice.... Ordered via QR code. After confirming my order, these banchans were served.....
