Breakfast @ Jaffers Cafe – Part 2

Continuing from my previous post, here’s someting that spice up my life...
Breakfast*101125
This time i managed to get myself a perfect viewing spot, well, i mean a cosy corner with soft cushion chair.
Coleslaw, mashed  potato, mini sausages, carrot omelette
Pastries and chocolate muffin
Miso soup and fruit punch
While seated at my cosy place, i was eyeing on the other spot, thinking to have the outdoor seat the next day

True enuff, I coincidently got that seat the following day, not on purpose but all the indoor dining table has been taken up, hence leaving no choice but to dine outdoor.
So, there it goes, my lovely morning being spent @ the terrace garden, with my hearty breakfast...
Breakfast*101126
Chicken ham, scrambled egg, nuggets, crabmeat salad, sautéed mushroom
Pastries again...
And macaroni soup with guava juice
Coupled with melodious rhyme of the nearby fountain & birds chirpin’
I’m a simple person.
I dun demand much in live
Simple things such as a nice breakfast & good surrounding can easily pleased me.

Flight Meal

BIZ TRIP 1: SINGAPORE, NOVEMBER 2010

My flight home was scheduled at late noon, having nothing to fill my stomach since morning, i decided to have my lunch in the airport.
All the while, i never have any chance to savour a complete meal in the airport, with mostly snacks.
Hence this time, reluctant or not, i give it a try.
My $7 meal consists of sausages and spaghetti, completes with a fruit punch. The dining ambience was nice, facing the glass panel overlooking the boarding area.

i luv seeing planes, especially the huge airbus, A380?
unfortunately, i m not taking the airbus, mine was the humbly cheapskate Air Asia
I was flying on corporate account, hence the services was top-class despite being a short flight on budget airplane. I was pleased with their cordial service, being given priority to onboard among the rest. That was one cool thing about having yourself a “hotseat”. And on top of that, i was occupying three seats in the row as my bosses had last minute cancelled their flight. Having the entire row all by myself, woo-hoo!

And my flight came with a meal! I was like....huh??? it was just an hour ride!
Here's my pre-ordered Nasi Lemak...
the admin who booked my ticket knows my tastebud well, huh...

BIZ TRIP 2: BANGKOK, MARCH 2011

This is another meal i had in the locally owned budget airplane, this time - chicken rice
it tasted bland, maybe because it was without cucumber to munch on,
hence, i still prefer the authentic Nasi Lemak...
wonder what's gonna be served on my next flight?

McD Breakfast

This isn't the first time i had McD Big Breakfast, but the first time of me having it FREE.
With their recent promotion of spending MYR5 for 2 FREE Big Breakfast, i got hooked.
So, here it is, the "take-away" version to be enjoyed @ home, as it was too packed to eat in the outlet!

December 2010 - February 2011

Dec 2010 til Feb 2011has been a very busy period. Never in my life to have such a hectic, fast-pace and chaotic lifestyle and i admit tht my life went haywire. I found myself constantly chasing after time, and left no choice but to neglect this blog for good.
Here's some updates of happenin's around
I
Had donuts for Christmas, plenty of them
 Some gifts to give out
 And those that we received
a simple gift for me, from myself
and some very traditional greeting cards from Thailand,  thanks Woody!
And i bought myself another book, am currently digesting it...
Will take some time before i post a review of it
another dear colleague lend another book, seemingly she knows i m still adapting to a new environment, a constantly changing, fast-pace environment...she thinks this book would ease my suffers
and this was the meal i had on the 15th day of Lunar New Year, consists of vege soup, steamed talapia fish, chicken with black soy sauce, and "yee-sang"
here's a close-up picture of the take-away "yee sang" bought from Esquire Kitchen
it was yummy...but too bad, i dun have mch time to savor each of these...
hopefully next year will be a less chaotic time, so tht i could enjoy the festive season more ;-)

Genting Highland re-visited

It has been quite sometime since my last outing to a hill resort. It was year 2008 when i last visited Genting Highlands. This time around, I have another free stay at First World hotel. Despite a cheapskate hotel, it was a good escapade from the city hectic life. Jumping at the opportunity, I headed to catch the free shuttle bus early in the morning. Not exactly free, some fares need to be paid as deposit…but still worth it...
With that small sum, I got to have:
  • Free return shuttle ride
  • Enjoy free Chinese New Year musical show at Arena Genting
  • Have free meal in the casino

 and here's our tiny room
note how much it  has changed from my previous visit!
all equipments being provided - fridge, hair dryer, water heater, clothes hanger, proper sanitary stuffs, and most importantly all were clean
i can make hot drinks with this heater
 coffee, tea or me???
 this is the washroom
with their all-in-one shampoo, conditioner and soap
 the shower area
And since we have a "world card" worth MYR50, we had another free dinner at New Orleans café.

Overall damage: ~MYR10
for the entire outing, cool???

FullHouse, Sunway Pyramid

Been hearing a lot about this cosy place, but haven’t been able to drop by. Sounds pathetic huh???
Hence, during the last Christmas holiday, went in to have a "look-see-feel" of this so-called boutique-concept restaurant.
Here's what we had...
garden salad, chicken chop and cream soup
 i luv their gravy
salmon with cheese powder spread on the garden salad, tasted...ermmm, weird!
 here's for dessert
it was their set meal, which only available during weekdays,
so for those weekender, sorry, u gotta order ala-carte!

Dayeh Noodles

Went to try out this beef noodles shop, located opposite the parking lot where the weekly pasar malam (night market) is located. The shop is...
