More than 2 decades ago, while I was still an undergraduate, I worked part-time at McD during the Raya week, just to earn extra pocket money. The hourly wage was quite good because it was a public holiday week, plus FOC meal if you work more than 4 hours.
My first assignment is to assemble Filet-O-Fish. It is actually quite simple. One can easily assemble 10 of these within a minute, provided everything is ready.
Anyway, fast forward to today — the McD's buns are no longer the same as before. They now have a glossy surface, a change that was introduced about two years ago.

Chicken mushroom rice at Hong Fu Lao dim sum restaurant....RM13.90++
Taste homely...it has a few pieces of waxed sausage, boneless chicken thigh meat and 3 pieces of shiitake mushroom.

McD's sundae.....instead of fries, you can now choose to replace it with some other items such as choco sundae/corn/apple pie...etc.
I think I will stick to choco sundae coz i prefer cooling soft-serve.

Chicken drumstick rice at Soon Hing Wanton restaurant...
Taste so-so only....I think their core is wanton or wanton noodles, not roasted chicken nor duck.

[Below] Curry rice at Xiguan Wanton Noodles restaurant....
The curry chicken comes with potatoes, and the rice has a fried sunny side up egg by default.
Taste so-so only.
Wantons (ala carte) are OK though....
Again, I'm ordering something that is not the core...and be judgemental about itπ
The view outside.
Other items in the menu apart from wanton noodles...
They have curry noodles with different types of ingredients.

Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf
I just joined the membership and claimed their 2 for RM16 iced mocha drink.
Tried both with whipped cream and without....
I prefer the one without cream.
