Hakshan

Went to try out Hakshan, a newly opened Hakka food restaurant in the neighbourhood.
During the first few weeks of opening, this place was mostly occupied during the weekend lunch and evening.
On my first visit, I went in the evening, and their Hakka luicha (thunder tea rice) was sold out, hence I had Hakka braised pork rice. The pork was quite fatty....it was just so-so....
I try my luck on the next day, this time I went earlier....and the luicha was available....yay!
The rice was served in a tray with the luicha soup and a small saucer of anchovies...
Despite the variety of ingredients on the plate...I still find it lacking 'ummpphh'.
The Foloso's luicha tastes better than them coz it has cashew nuts instead of peanuts and the soup is thicker.
Sadly Foloso has closed down, and the premise is now replaced with a hotpot restaurant.
The bill came to RM19.80nett after deduction discount from membership.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The so-called Hainanese chicken chop from BrewMaster....
I like their Bolognaise sauce, it feels like eating Bolognaise pasta without the pasta. I dip the fries on the sauce instead.
RM19.50nett with ice lemon tea.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bulgogi jjungsik from Midam Korean BBQ restaurant. It was served with 6 banchans and a jar of barley tea. Quite worth it for RM24.20nett.
