On a Friday evening, I joined the company Christmas Party at Raffles hotel.
It was a short drive from the office. I tumpang a colleague's car. Some went by shuttle bus arranged by the company. Reached there around 6 something coz the event starts at 7 sharp.
This pre-war building looks abit like my former school with colonial architecture, corridors and staircase.
The party was held in a private suite located at 3rd floor.
The hotel is painted white.

I was seated at table #8 (a lucky number)....but our table wins nothing from the games.
After the event ended, me and another colleague took the MRT back to our hotel. On our way to the station, we walked past the Raffles City....The Raffles Place MRT station is just 2 stops from Tanjong Pagar station which is just right in front of our hotel.

The next morning. I had my final hotel breakfast....
What's on my plate: Loh mai kai, scrambled egg, sauteed mushrooms, baked beans, sausage, hashbrown pop, ham and Chinese stir-fried veggies.
Not to forget some watermelons too.

My favorite shops - Charles & Keith and TWG are just next to each other.
Meanwhile the boarding gate is just right behind these shops.

On the flight back to KL, I pre-ordered a meal - Roasted chicken with black pepper sauce.
It has potatoes, cauliflower, broccoli, carrots and boneless chicken meat. Tastes good!

Stopped by Verrona Bakery in KLIA2
Bought a butter cake loaf to try. RM24.90 (if not mistaken)
Taste just so-so only, not bad but not great either.
Thanks for sharing the presentable photos of the Raffles Hotel, Raffles City Shopping Mall and the vicinity of City Hall MRT station. They reminded me of my prime years eating, shopping and having fun around that area. And all the hotel and in flight food looked pretty and delicious! Except for the "nothing to shout about" butter cake which you dabao from the bakery.
ReplyDeleteAnd the real side/dark side of Lucky Draws during Company Annual Dinners or maybe Christmas Party Dinners, usually they will "reserve" the big prizes meaning the first 3 prizes for the big shots in the company so only Directors like level will get them, I had been in the Corporate world before, so I had seen too much of these and all the drama/politics playing.
