Plaza Premium Lounge is located at the upper floor in KLIA2 shopping mall.
Usually, premium lounge is located after the check-in gate & custom checks, but this one is somewhere in the mall which is quite different.
So, I have to purposely go out again (after going thru check-in & custom checks)...
Luckily, my flight got delayed and delayed again, hence I got plenty of time to burn....
I slowly made my way to the mall, registered at the lounge entrance and enjoyed my time there.
not forgetting taking pictures of the foodies....
The warm food counter only serves a few dishes. But these few dishes were perfectly done.
From left to right: stir-fried French bean, black pepper capsicum beef, curry chicken, and bolognaise spaghetti. All tastes superbly good!
Some sweet desserts - cakes! They keep replenishing with different types of cakes.
Juices, lemon infused water, cucumber infused water (i think, can't remember)
There are fruits and salad bar too and plenty of coffee, teas, soda drinks at another counter.
Here's what I had:All the four dishes from the warm food section + curry laksa + some cakes + curry mayo nachos
lotus root soup
lotus root soup
fruits and salads

[Below] There's so much to see in the KLIA2 mall. You wouldn't feel bored here...There's a Mamee Jonker House shop too...
You can get all sorts of Mamee noodles over here, including those i've never seen before (premium flavors)
Mamee monster plushie, so cute! The pink one is there too.

If you are not a shopaholic person, can always go up to this observation deck to watch the skies😎
The food looks good and delicious though not a lot of choices. I am interested in the curry laksa. So cute the stuff toy. How was the weather when you went Langkawi this time? It looked warm looking at the clear blue sky with fluffy clouds. Was it a free and easy trip? Did you take coach with the rest of the tour mates? Sometimes feel like going on a solo tour but don't like kaypoh tour mates who will ask questions like why are you alone blah blah blah. Was it safe to travel alone? What safety measures did you take since you are a single female?
ReplyDeleteLotus: it was a solo trip, free & easy. I took Grab most of the time, but if in group, recommend to rent a car. Weather rainy & sunny at certain times. Local Malaysia touristy places are still ok/safe, just stay vigilant & don't go out to quiet/lonely places. I would usually return to hotel before 10pm, coz tht's when most shops closed.
DeleteI am also interested in the curry chicken.
ReplyDeleteLotus: both curry laksa & chicken were tasty, indeed much nicer than those served in restaurants😋
DeleteWow at the premium lounge selections!
ReplyDeleteMany years ago I had access to such lounges but the offerings weren't close to this.
Stacy: i wonder what they had back then...🤔
DeleteNice! Although not much variety but quality of the food is good. I remember the Mamee monster and when I was in school, Mamee just came out I think and can even eat as a snack but I didn't like it.
ReplyDeletePH: mamee is my fav childhood snack😉
DeleteWow, I like the food at the lounge. Would most probably stuff myself silly because of gluttony and ends up having Tummy muscles pain 😂🤣
ReplyDeleteMun: doesn't sound like you, coz you're a mindful eater😄
DeleteI guess you didn't read my Mon 1nov2024 eat out where I ate until I couldn't stand up straight and had to meditate to control my tummy muscles ache all the way on the mrt and bus.
DeleteThat was on Mon 11nov2024
DeleteBeen to the Plaza Premium Lounge KLIA2 before but how come I don't remember there is plenty of foods one. Hahaha.
ReplyDeleteFrankly speaking comparing KLIA and KLIA2, i prefer the latter cause so many restaurants and shops, especially Family Mart (my favourite)
Diane: KLIA lose out in terms of eateries variety.
DeleteFor SG Airports, I like Changi Airport Terminal 2 and Terminal 3. A lot of food outlets, wallet friendly ones and premium ones also have. T3 has more shopping outlets selling clothes, souvenir items etc and there is even a food court and a supermarket. As for T2 there is only a bookstore and some other outlets which I am not interested so did not take special note. I seldom frequent Terminal 1 and Terminal 4. Maybe one of these days can go there jalan jalan again.
ReplyDeleteLotus: Air Asia flight to KL departs from terminal 4. I'm planning to go Terminal 1 to see Jewel if got enough time in my nxt month trip🙂
DeleteBeen to KL only once and that was umpteen years ago. Visited the Twin Towers then. Cannot recall what transport mode I took to go there.
ReplyDeleteNice to take a break and rest at the lounge while waiting for your flight. I have been to the lounge once, during our connecting flight back from Thailand.
ReplyDeleteRose world: yea, for long layover can take shower too, but with extra charges.
