Few months back, went to Old Nanyang Kopitiam for our weekend family dinner. The shop has since closed down and renamed to New Nanyang. *The New Nanyang has recently re-opened for business not long ago.
*Posting some pictures from Old Nanyang restaurant for record purpose, not sure if the New Nanyang will have similar food or not.
Here's what we had in Old Nanyang:
Hainanese chicken chop with sausage. The potato salad is on the sweet side and the shredded cabbage salad has sesame dressing.
Rice set with chicken leg in soy sauce, bokchoy, soup and 2 mini side dish.
Chicken leg....looks big and juicy!
Sizzling plate of grilled chicken chop in mushroom sauce with corn cob, potato salad, sausage. Mushroom soup and shredded cabbage salad are included too.
and yes, garlic bread stick is provided with the mushroom soup. It is baked till crispy.
This is a huge meal set, suitable for big eaters or super hungry person.
Portion is big but tastewise just so-so.

DeleteFood looks good. I saw the new shop a few doors away from the previous shop in Sri Petaling. Have yet to go there to try.

DeleteI definitely want that big and juicy chicken leg with generous sauce and herbs. The sausage that came with the chicken chop, was it an add-on or was it already included?
ReplyDeletePH: it was included. But there is also another set without a sausage, for a cheaper price.
