[Throwback, overdue post]
On Tuesday after work, i headed to McD for their tasty fried chicken. The nearest outlet is just a 10 minutes walk from the office.
The 3-pieces fried chicken set meal promo is on Tuesday only and I made sure to have that before leaving the country.
This McD outlet is a 2-storey building with a drive thru. It has ample dining space at both the ground floor and first floor.
I decided to dine at the upper floor to enjoy a good view of the street below.
It was late nite, but not yet closing time, hence the empty tables.
I had my peace & quiet meal...This set meal costs only USD5.25nett with carbonated drink. I upgraded the carbonated drink to bottled drinking water, hence an extra 60 Balboa cents being charged.
The chicken parts were default to one piece chicken thigh (or drumstick), one piece chicken breast and one piece chicken wing.
I'm fine with these combination which is a good mix of tender meat and a more filling chicken breast meat which keeps me full.
Indeed i was quite full after finishing all these.
Some time later, I found out that McD has daily promo but on different meal sets, mostly on burgers. This picture was taken at another McD outlet.
I walked back to the apartment after this heavy meal. On my way, i pass by a local gas station. So i 'kepoh' to check on the fuel prices. Have been wondering why their Uber is so affordable (a distance of 5km radius would costs around USD2 to 3 on non peak hours).
The cars would usually pump on Maxima 95, priced at USD1.014 per litre which is quite affordable for their locals.

It is safe to walk at night. Costa del Este neighborhood is frequently patrolled by police and there's even a police station somewhere along this stretch of road.
Besides Delta gas station, they also have the Puma brandπ
This was taken on the day during my outing at Chanis (local neighbourhood).
Noticed that there were slight changes on the rates.
If we compare dollar to dollar (ie do not convert) we are very expensive over here compared to some other countries.
ReplyDeleteSo how? Their McD chicken tastes better than the McD chicken here?
ReplyDeleteStill got throw backs from Panama!! ππ Where is Mr Nice Man?
ReplyDeletePH: yes, agree. Their cost of living is similar to SG if don't convert (SGD spend on SGD earnings, USD spend on USD earnings).
ReplyDeleteMun: yes, definitely tastes better, otherwise I wouldn't be craving for it...lol. It has tinge of cilantro taste.
Twilight Man: gotta clear my disk space, so just upload everything to blogger for record keeping. One month of photos, hence will take some time. You still remember Mr-Nice-Guy, lol? He has to spend time with his wifey & kids 'online' on certain days, hehehe....
