Pork Trotter

This is some non-halal section in NSK Kuchai which sells various oink oink parts and Chinese cooking sauces/wine/ingredients. It is like a huge one-stop-shop place to get all sorts of China/Taiwan/Korean imported cooking products that are hardly found in conventional supermarkets.
We were here to buy some roasted pork. Next to the roasted pork stall there are plenty of ready-made pao and rice dumpling at an affordable price. These items can be kept in the fridge/freezer and reheat for consumption whenever one is lazy to cook. Despite that we did not buy any because our fridge is over capacity with groceries for the whole week.
There are also some cooked pork trotters and mui choy pork belly....good for lazy people who don't wish to spend hours preparing such dishes. As we are not lazy people, we just look see look see and ciao to get our roasted pork.

Today recorded another highest number of COVID 19 cases & death in a day. The number is so saddening! Seems like the lockdown is inefficient in bringing the number down but instead the figure go higher each day!
Despite that, some industries are given the green light to operate and some KL/Selangor folks are back to the office. I m still WFH (today is my 3rd month of continuously WFH).
I'm feeling very blue.....daba di dabaaadooooo~~~
coz of staying at home for too long...and also the hot weather!
How about you? How do u cope at long term WFH?

  1. I am ordering all deliveries until 21 days after my jab 2. Just got jab 1 on Aug 2 Monday as I walk in to klcc ppv so got sinovac. Have you gotten your jabs too? Please be careful cos nsk could be a hotspot.

  2. I visited an art gallery to look at some art exhibitions in order to lift up my spirits after WFH for so long. It is not crowded at all so it is safe.

  3. Been craving for black vinegar pork trotters since I saw some people cooking it on some food show but I'm not going out! Phase 3 here now but the numbers do not seem too good at some parts of the state. #staysafe #staywell #stayhome

  4. So nice, if I live near NSK, I will go every day for oink oink delights! I don't like WFH. I had been at it for 2 months and so sien and I am glad I can reopen my office. So nice to be able to do my work properly in an office environment. I make sure I don't go outside unless necessary. The number of infections going up and up is very worrying. Even though I am vaccinated, I don't feel safe.

  5. Good that you can get prepared food like pork trotters, mui choy kau yoke, roast pork & ready-made dim sum from your supermarket...how I wish I can get that here in my neighbourhood supermarkets when I'm too lazy to cook.

  6. With 3 schooling kids at home, we survive. Everyday busy with their online classes and homeworks.

Good to get some food and keep for later consumption. I do that too when too busy on weekday to cook. I miss mui choy pork belly, long time did not have that.

  7. I can see glutinous rice dumplings in the first picture. I will be interested to buy to try. So nice to be able to buy ready cooked pork dishes whenever feeling lazy to cook i.e. if the dishes are to my taste. I bought roast pork yesterday, so temporary settled my craving for roast pork. Lol! Oh yes, even though I am not wfh, I too get bored staying home all the time. Grateful that I get to spend some time in my little garden before it gets too hot. Sometimes I will get into my car to drive 1 big round just as an excuse to warm up the engine.

  8. Actually.... I love working from home. Then again I'm more on the introvert side that's why it suits me fine.

  9. All the Vaccination Centres in KL are closing down gradually as many people have gotten their jabs. Looks like the numbers will go down soon.
