Braised Pork with Mui Choy

We had braised pork with mui choy dish on one evening...It is one of my fav home-cooked dish.
The other 2 dishes here are ju hu char (without the cuttlefish, and with thickly-cut sengkuang) and fried kembong fish.
The other day, our neighbour gave us this...
no, not a pile of shit...
it is a cake!
the birthday boy was a four year old kid...
just some usual cream cake but i dun eat icing cream, so i scrapped off the cream topping.
We had our weekly re-stock of bread and cakes....and some other groceries
As usual, my curry puffs from AEON Big...I had them for lunch on last Friday.
We also harvested a small pineapple from the garden...
This thing is still sitting in the kitchen...dunno if it is sweet or sour...

  4. The mui choy braised pork, is the pork lean meat only or pork belly? Since your parents eat very healthy food so I guess is lean meat, right?

Mun: the head of household only shop once in a week, during the weekdays when people are busy WFM. Senior citizen has express lane, so OK la no need to wait long. The mui choy pork are mostly lean meat, and mix of very minimal fats.

PH: we haven't cut the pineapple yet...it looks good only, mana tau inside....

  7. Wah!!! Your Ong Lai looks nice from the pattern and must be from good plant family.

I miss eating Kembong Fish so much as my mum used to fry them when I was a kid. Your pork with mui choy is luxury to my eyes!!

Now you remind me to go to Aeon tomorrow.
