Duanwu festival is around the corner...and soon we will be feasting on the zongzi!
Throughout my life, i have unwrapped many zongzi but I have never know how to wrap it. This video will serve as a reference (for me) coz this demonstration is much simplified (than the other videos that I had seen)!

will you be wrapping zhong zi soon? as you made the effort to find a video that simplifies the act of wrapping zhong zi. I love to eat zhong zi without fatty fats.
ReplyDeleteI actually have thought of making zhong zi but then I will be eating a lot of them if I were to make my own. On second thought I better not make. I learnt to wrap zhong zi from a young age.
ReplyDeleteMun: nope, not wrapping any zongzi.
ReplyDeleteNancy Chan: yea, need to prepare in bulk otherwise not worth it. We dun eat much too hence normally we bought only a few.
Yum yum. I tried wrapping once from an aunt. Not so successful. Since then I never wrap myself.
ReplyDeleteMy wife has been making the dumplings every year. I remembered the first year's attempt was so tough for her. Now it is sap-sap-water la for her cos practice makes perfection. She told me it's all about timing & tightening. LOL
ReplyDeleteRose world: so fast give up liao? I haven't got the chance coz none of my family members prepares dumpling...
ReplyDeleteTwilight Man: good for u...besides savoring the delicious zong, u can also 'practice' from ur sifu wife.
It looks easy and doable on the video but I suck at wrapping zongzi! LOL!
ReplyDeleteMy sis's mother in law made dumplings this year and my sis gave us two to try. Not bad, got a lot of ingredients just that it is not saltish and flavourful enough. I always think those who know how to make and wrap dumplings are very talented.
