I had a 'lavish' dinner with family on last weekend...It has been some time since we dine like this!
We booked a private room which comes with karaoke set. Nope, we did not sing.
Ordered the braised crab meat soup with shredded abalone (dun ask me where the 'shredded abalone' is, it was too thin to notice!)
but the soup was ok, not too thick....I was impressed with the presentation as it came with a mini 'stove' that keeps the soup warm.
next was the roasted chicken & duck, plus some jelly fish (in the middle)
steamed grouper fish in garlic soy sauce
tiger prawn in deluxe soy sauce
braised abalone slices with dried oyster, fish maw and mushrooms
here's what I managed to dig out from that dish (it has tofu fishcake too!)
fried assorted grains with pine nuts...this was so yummy but we couldn't finish it.
I tapau-ed back and eat on the following day as lunch....still tastes as good!
for dessert - lotus paste pancake and black sesame mochi
As for the 'tong sui', we had double boiled snow fungus with red dates and gingko nuts.
The ginger taste was too strong in the soup that I could only take a sip!
Overall, good food and services.
We left the place feeling full and satisfied.
BON APPETIT!
wah! like a wedding feast! what's the occasion? Good that you tapao home the rice. sure tastes very good even after being kept in the fridge.
ReplyDeleteWow! I am drooling
ReplyDeleteSo shiok! Private room with such lavish dishes.
ReplyDeleteMun: it was a family gathering event.
ReplyDeleteLibby: once in a while with lavish dishes ;-)
This looks like a typical menu during CNY celebrations. Good that you had a nice meal with your family :)
ReplyDeletethe food all look nice leh. I like the soup
ReplyDeleteI must say that all the dishes look very delicious with good presentation. It is very thoughtful that they served the soup with a heater stove as the soups would be nicer when served piping hot.
