This photo was taken in granny's house almost 3 decades ago during CNY (I think!). It is the last photo of us cousins taken with granny before she left us later that year.
Most of us doesn't seem to be smiling in this photo probably b'coz we know that her days are numbered...
Despite suffering in pain, she gave a broad smile for this final photo with us grandkids
She is greatly missed!
So touching. Sometimes I get teary eyed when looking at old photos.
ReplyDeleteWhen we are growing older we tend to look at old photos and remember dear departed loved ones. Your grandma was a strong lady to smile despite the pain. Are you in red sitting right next to your grandma?
ReplyDeleteI also guess the girl in red is you at first glance. Is my guess correct? Any prize for that, hee hee.
ReplyDeleteYou must love your Grandma a lot. Hugs.
ReplyDeletePhong Hong: yea, me too.
ReplyDeleteMun: yea, she is definitely a strong lady. I believe most elderly who has gone thru/survived World War II are tough. Anyway, ur guessing is incorrect ;-)
Libby: sorry, u guessed wrongly...no prize for that...LOL!
Ok, let's guess again. You are the girl next to the girl in red?
ReplyDeleteOr are you the one in white dress in front of your grandma with both your hands on your legs? Are you in the photo?
ReplyDeleteMun: yes, I'm in white dress.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the confirmation.
