Sometime Nov last year, we had our team dinner at this very quiet/secluded Japanese restaurant in Marriott Hotel Putrajaya.
just look at these empty seats...as if we have booked the entire restaurant for ourselves coz there was no one at sight besides us
As our group is big (13 pax), we occupied two tables and ordered heartily.
Here's our orders:
Soft shell crab tempuras
Gyoza
Sashimis
Unagi getta
Cheese Baked Oyster
and this is my bento set - Midori bento that costs RM68!
It consists of sashimis, unagi, grilled fish, tempuras, nimono, salads, miso soup, and fruit platter. And yes, it also came with a bowl of rice!
this is crazily huge as I've never seen such huge bento before. Presentation wise is not bad coz the bento box is a lacquer box with lid.
we also ordered ala-carte yasai tempura with is assortment of shrimp, eggplant, sweet potatoes & ocra tempuras..
and another colleague ordered dorayaki (red-bean pancakes) to share...
Food was good and with reasonable price. I wonder how this restaurant can survive until today coz that place is hardly discovered by anyone.
There were plenty more on the table but i did not take the pictures coz it would be rude to do so when people already diggin' in their food.

The online menu is available here
since it is paid by the company, can just order everything with no worries.
ReplyDeleteJapanese foods, my favourite...
ReplyDeleteI love Japanese food, but I don't take Unagi, not accustomed to the taste
ReplyDeleteMun: it is paid by company but there's a limit/budget for our team dinner.
ReplyDeleteSomewhere in Singapore: yea, my fav too ;-)
Libby: I like unagi, it's soft & tender meat goes well with Japanese rice....yumzzzz
The photos showed very delicious presentation like real authentic Japanese food in Japan. That hotel is always advertising discounted buffets in Fave as they are too faraway to attract crowds.
