Nope, this year I did not go malls-hopping to catch on the X'mas decorations...They are all pretty much the same with white/green/gold X'mas trees + blings blings...
Here's one I took on my way back from lunch...
kinda disappointing huh?
Well, the X'mas trees seem 'small' and does not fill up the space at all. I would like to see a gigantic tall tree with lotsa 'blings blings' glittering and perhaps some booth selling candies, toys, X'mas decors around...The entire place does not have that kinda 'magical touch'!
The economy is so bad that many malls keep minimal effort and budget in their X'mas décor.
Come on, this is a huge mall and it is only a year old...with so many international franchise and big name outlets, why can't they put in more effort in getting the mall more attractive for the festive season? Not to mention it is nearby 5-star hotels and offices...sigh....
Still better than what we have here in Taiping, hehehe!
ReplyDeleteEverything is expensive now so we cannot expect too much as the decorators have a small budget to work with. IOI City mall, is it?
ReplyDeleteOh, I saw the words in the photo, so it is IOI City Mall.
ReplyDeleteCannot complain lah, I think most malls are holding back on Christmas this year...
ReplyDeleteHayley: haha, can't compare like that...Taiping has its own charm which definitely way better than the malls in KL.
ReplyDeleteMun: yea, as long as our RM doesn't improve we will live in a 3rd class country, with everything (infrastructure, facilities, shopping mall decorations) being toned down with cheapo stuffs. Unlike SG, their malls are so competent in decorations.
RealGunners: i'm indirectly complaining about our economy and the weak RM.
Yeah, it does look slightly on the small side.
ReplyDeleteI've only seen the ones in KLCC and MidValley and Publika coz they are the places I most often go to.
Christmas is just around the corner! :)
I have not step into a mall this month. Maybe coming weekend before the Xmas deco is put down.
