Tried the newly opened Anyang Gamjatang in the neighborhood Pinnacle Mall.
Gamjatang (감자탕) is a traditional Korean soup/stew made primarily with pork backbone (or pork neck bones), potatoes, and a rich, spicy broth.
They have brunch menu which offers promotion from 10am till 3pm.
I ordered their specialty which is bbyeo haejangguk (potato with pork bone stew in a single-serving soup version).
You can choose either rice or ramyeon for carbs, which is included.
The set also came with free drink (cold plain water) and 2 types of kimchis.
The soup is served in a Korean ttukbaegi pot and is big enough for 2 pax, although I ordered only one-piece bone. There is a slice of potato in it and some veggies.
A box of hand gloves and wet wipes are provided on every table, so you don't have to dirty your hands while eating the pork bone.
Overall, a good meal although i find the soup slightly salty. Just drink a few sips is alright.
The bill came to RM24.20 nett after service charge.
I will be back again to try the sundubu jjigae.
