A simple celebration on my mum's birthday.
Tried out this new neighborhood Chinese restaurant located within the same building as The Store supermarket. I think this lot was previously occupied by some China-style hotpot restaurant.
This place is spacious and has a few private rooms.
We ordered the following:
Yam basket with kungpou chicken
Stir-fried kailan...with some shredded seaweed & anchovies topping
Shrimp & tofu in pumpkin sauce
and a sweet & sour pork buried underneath the ice-cubes (please see the topmost picture above, in blue bowl)
I prefer the sweet & sour pork served warm instead of with ice-cubes😂, but my annoying sis did the ordering....so let her be.
Total bill came to RM168.80 nett.

Dessert was birthday cake bought from Berry's....a Japanese cheesecake.

Happy belated birthday to your mom. 🎂 I think I know where this restaurant is. I like the shrimp tofu dish the best 😋

ReplyDeleteThat was a very nice birthday celebration for your mum! A family makan is always the best way to celebrate and of course a Japanese cheese(birthday)cake.
