Love in the Time of Twilight

One of my fav chinese movies...
a romance-comedy but tragic movie
well, the story goes like this:
he's a banker
being framed to carry weapon into the bank
and was murdered after the robbery
his neck was being tangled by wires, and his spirit remains thereafter, trapped in those wires
it connects to the girl's place  - a theater owned by her father
his spirit wanders out and asked for her help to freed him
and both of them ventured back to the past,
and the "history" repeats
back & forth
over & over again they re-tried to mend the situation to change the "past"
but it is fated that he has to "die" no matter how they try to avoid
and failed at every attempt until
the very final one
....
the story ended back at the beginning...
that was 2 weeks ago...
and both of them are strangers to each other again.

Plum Blossom Trilogy : Plum Blossom Scar

I finally found this!
This is a very ol' skool drama...
watched this drama on tv sometime ago....long time ago
i was fascinated by the opening theme song...it was so 'grand', but it depict the sad love story of a commoner and the crown prince, very tragic indeed.
Can't remember what's the ending...sort of Romeo & Juliet kinda stuffs...
but well, nice novel (yea, it was based on a novel) and great theme song.
enjoy listening!

This shop isn't new in the neighborhood...it has been over 2 months after their opening before i step my foot into it...
as to taste their over-publicized "Pan Mee" (flat noodle)
not mch crowd, probably because it is late...it is almost 9 when i reached there.
the interior is spacious, they allocate lotsa dining tables to cater for peak hours.
the condiments...various types of chillies on the tray
but none applies to my noodle coz my noodles is spicy by default....wuakakaka!

It is dry curry chicken "Pan Mee"!

Wandering Around - Dreamy Mode

First of all, it has been long enuff (mayb not!) since i last updated my blog with a personal post...
After all the general posts that i uploaded about foods, happenings and events...i rarely update about myself...
Not that my life is mundane or nothing happened during these long absence...but it seems like whatever that i posted here will not happen...or turn out the other way. So i rather not to blog about good things or wishes...or else it turns out the other way!
wuakakaka!
Anyway...i m and was rather very BUSY during the past few months...
and somehow lacking sleep, having unfixed schedule...and sometimes in dreamy mode...
just like the below...
my mind was blur, unclear, undecided...as a result of lacking sleep
and my panda eyes shows obviously (btw, the picture below has been edited with 'effects', my fingers & handphone did not get burned on the side!)
well, talking about dreaming (and knowing it won't happen too!), i would jst blog it out over here...coz no loss/consequences to bear/happen.
I'm 'thinking' (dreaming) of going Alaska!
well...mum has invited me to tag along with some relatives who have got a good deal in the recent MATTA fair. But it is for 17 days!
I tot of goin, but it is impossible unless i got unpaid leave or i quit my job!
HOW I WISH!
but anyhow...*neglecting the superstitious tinking aside
I wish:
To go for a trip...i mean a personal trip oversea
Get a job that got me travel abroad...am envying some frens in the FB who got to travel around for work.
Get some scrumptuos nice meal in a posh restaurant
Go shopping for some office /work attire and shoe
Go IKEA
Go for movie
Go to the theme  park...Genting!
Stay a nite at Genting...haha
Get certified PMP...
Get a new house
$$$ fall from the skies...
Okie, i m getting out of my mind now!
CIAO and HOPE ALL MY WISH COME TRUE!

Fullmoon Celebration

My niece (yea, i hav nieces!) is almost 2 years old by now...but it seems like yesterday she came into the world...so mch so that i tot she is still a toddler...but the actual fact is that she has grown up to be a cutie pie...
My cousin's family has thrown a fullmoon feast..yea, that was 2 years ago...but only now i m able to retrieve some pics!
Here are some goodies that was feasted...
Hard boiled eggs (in red shell, yea it was marinated in coloring!), some local delicacies, jellies, cakes, fruits, finger foods...
and nice array of dishes...buffet style
*the very typical dishes but let me introduce
fried rice, fried vermicelli, curry chicken, mix veggie, sweet & sour sauce fish, fried prawns in oats, some fried finger foods, stew pork in vinegar, chicken in ginger soup.
*Well, the last 2 dishes was some typical chinese dish for new mum during confinement. But they served it to the guest too!
Bon Appetit!

We had our 2nd round of CNY dinner on the 7th day of Lunar New Year...sort of celebrating "Yan Yat"
We went to the nearby Esquire Kitchen restaurant and ordered their CNY set dinner for 6 pax.
It comes out with these dishes:
Fried Chicken in Plum Sauce
Pork Rib with Shiitake Mushroom Stew
Fried Shrimps in Oat
Stir Fried Lotus Root with Assorted Veggie and Cashew Nuts
Mushrooms with Capsicums
Grouper Fish in Sweet Thai Sauce, garnished with pineapple & longan...
This is someting new, i haven't tried fish with fruits before, but it tastes good!
Dessert was glutinous rice flour ball in soy milk...my fav!

CNY Dinner - Round 1

I had my reunion dinner with family on 29th of the month rather than the eve. We did it at a nearby Chinese restaurant. It was indeed crowded...coz everyone seems to prefer having their "Lou Sang" in restaurant these days...whether it be with family, friends or colleague...Hence, it is not unusual to hav such crowds before CNY day.
Our first dish was Yee Sang (raw fish salad)...right after it was served on our table, the tossing begun with well-wishes and hopes for the year...I was so darn hungry (due to the long wait) that i kept refilling my plate for a few rounds!
and i had sharkfin soup...though not mch fins to be found in that thick soup!
next was roasted spring chicken...tastewise "so-so" only
but their braised seafood in claypot was good...lotsa sea cucumber, oyster etc
steamed cod fish in soy sauce is perfect...luv its tender meat, and it was very fresh!
there goes our sponsor ;-)
one big smile from the sponsor after a filled tummy of yummie food!
well, that's the last yee sang i had in this year...the next round shall be CNY next year...
Bon Appetit!
