Banana Leaf Rice @ Legend's Claypot Briyani House

A colleague brought us to this place in Serdang. The restaurant is air-conditioned and unlike any typical banana leaf rice place where the waiter would serve the dishes from the pot. This is more like a modern fast-food concept where all the side dishes are pre-cooked and ready in small metal tray with fixed amount. Each combo has its own classification such as Briyani Rice special, ordinary, etc (depending on selection of vegetarian/chicken/mutton/fish/combination of different selection etc).
I ordered a 'default' Briyani Rice on banana leaves, which is almost vegetarian that comes with a bowl of dhal gravy on the side. That gravy has chunks of meat (I tink is chicken) but is very minimal.
pricewise is considered cheap for a banana leaf meal as this is not a typical banana leaf restaurant where u can request for various types of curry gravy or veggies toppings. Despite being a fully Indian restaurant, it lacks the ambience due to its modernized concept (where u order from menu) and the staffs are not the typical friendly 'ah neh' that scoops the dishes to ur 'plate'. Anyhow, i'd say this place is sort of 'beginners ground' or 'introduction' place if u wanna taste the Indian cuisine for the first time coz the menu has an elaborated description and pictures of the dishes.

Choose from a menu with full description? This I have to see but is a bit far for me though I like to eat banana rice. Your almost-vegetarian meal looks good. How much is your meal?

Cheap? What's the actual price? As you said, the chicken is minimal there. :/

Mun: that meal is RM7.20 after GST & service charge.

RealGunners: cheap by Klang Valley standard. Banana leaf rice is usually expensive, with basic one (without side dish) starts from RM9. Summore this place is an air-condition restaurant with clean & decent looking interior.
