Happy Dragon Boat Festival

This was what we had for the past few days...Bak Chang (aka rice dumplings)!
Assorted bak chang which can be differentiated by the color of the strings...
there are red bean, mung bean, and plain ones, too bad we dun hav 'nyonya' type. My fav are still the conventional dumpling with salted egg yolk, pork, mushroom and lotsa beans.
Happy Feasting on Bak Chang ;-)

Where did you buy these bak chang? How come they come in these very nice paper/cardboard boxes?

I buy and eat bak chang all year round since I like to eat them so much. Happy dumplings festival to you!

My fav is also the conventional one. Sigh, haven't had any this year, but too lazy to go hunt for it in Georgetown. :/

RG, Bayan Baru wet market or some other wet markets close to your place should have people selling them. No need to go all the way to Georgetown, right? After this festival, you can still go to Lebuh Cintra that eatery selling bak chang to buy some to eat lah.

Me too, my favourite is still bak chang with a lot of pork and mushroom, without salted egg yolk is okay for me

During the weekdays, the driver would picked us (me & colleague) from the apartment at 8am daily. Sometimes he would use different route...
