O Banh Mi

The other day I was clueless on what to have for dinner, and hence went to try out the newly opened Vietnamese eatery...which is no longer new to us (it already has a few branches in Klang Valley) - O Banh Mi.
It specializes in Banh Mi, which is sort of a Vietnamese baguette, but as I wasn't that fond of anything bread/buns, I ordered something else from the menu.
they hav set lunch as well...
the place isn't huge but it has ample seatings...
and here's my food - beef pho
 with add-on...the Vietnamese spring roll
 and lime soda
food was jst so-so...and taste kinda different...I wonder if that's the authentic taste or something wrong with my tongue...I've tried various spring rolls before in Vietnam, but this one that I came across doesn't taste similar to what I had over there...
Anyway, I guess this outlet has many room for improvement, especially on the pho...
alrite....I tink I shouldn't be commenting too much on other items which they dun specialize into....let them jst focus on their Banh Mi...*which I'm gonna try next time.

I have seen their eateries in a few malls but am never tempted to eat there. Guess my choice is now justified by your review that the food there is only so so and taste kind of not-the-same as other Vietnamese eateries.

If they wanna focus on just bahn mi, then might as well don't offer other food items. No... to me, if an eatery wants to offer an item, they have to do their due diligence and make sure what they offer is decent.

Mun: i'm not sure about the other outlets, but I tink since this outlet was new (when I first tried them), the consistency might not be there. Perhaps I will drop by to try their banh mi on my second visit.

RealGunners: agree, but selling just banh mi will not sustain long...is like selling burgers alone without other options (fries, porridge, pies etc like how McD varies their menu). I would suggest tht they sell banh mi and specializes in varieting it...then as time goes, branch out on other street food items.

Each time I go to One U, I tell myself I would like to go for banh mi but keep forgetting about it. Now I want it so badly after looking at the photos.

The only Vietnamese food I had is their spring roll, haha!

I think I've been here before!

They have an outlet at Publika right? I went with my better half a while ago, not sure if it's the same outlet or not. They also do bahn mi but if I recall correctly, they only sell bahn mi.

During the weekdays, the driver would picked us (me & colleague) from the apartment at 8am daily. Sometimes he would use different route...
