The Sound of Music

This is one of my all time fav musical since childhood.
No doubt Julie Andrew has played an incredible role in portrayin' Maria, the innocent trainee nun whom is carefree, and somehow found her soulmate in her "pilot" adventure.
Below is one of my favourite scene, the moment when Captain proposed to Maria...aww, so sweet!
It seems that their feeling blossomed when Captain admires Maria in handling the kids & bringing joy to the home, while Maria was being stunned by his tenderness despite him being a strict guy...
The coolest thing is that they pictured the affection without a single word expressed, it was all in facial expression, superbly good acting skills!
In real life, love is somewhat can't be expressed in words, it's all about feelings deep inside your heart...and treating that special someone nicely with tender loving care.
if only you could feel "it"

romantic, isn't it?

Rojak "Pasembor"

Pasembor or known as "Indian Rojak" consists of  prawn fritters (cucur udang), coconut fritters, beancurd, hard-boiled egg, shredded cucumber and turnip (sengkuang), all mixed with thick peanut gravy.
It all blended so well and the meal would not complete without pieces of crunchy 'keropok'.
the keropok is the best part, and normally i'l consume it first before it gets soften from being soaked in the gravy.
i'll surely miss "Pasembor" alot if i m to be away from the country!

Ipoh "Mari"

Some of the goodies from Ipoh...the famous kaya (coconut and egg jam) puffs!
the yummylicious kaya puffs, each box consists of 10s
Next, this is one of my fav "kuih", it comes with red bean paste and lotus paste. However, i prefer the plain version (without paste), as the outer layer alone is nice to be consumed by itself!
and lastly, Ipoh is not only famous for the steamed chicken with hor fun (noodle), but also "salted" steamed chicken. The below was bought from one of the famous shop.
It was so delicious, flavorful with thick and rich herbal gravy.

it made craving for more!

Asam Laksa @ The Gardens

I used to order asam laksa at foodcourt, with my favourite one @ KLCC. However, this time i decided to try it at The Gardens.
Located at Lower Ground interconnection between The Gardens and Mid Valley, this place is one of the busiest corner for those seeking food, well, to be precise, local hawker fares.
I luv the ambience here, even the stool is painted with 'peranakan' design.
their marble counter and the marble tables, it's so cooling
there's even a wall painting with floral pattern, in their attempt in creating the "good ol' days" environment.
And finally, here is my bowl of sinful yet yummylicious asam laksa!
Bon Appetit!
